  1. I had a $750 coupon and it was good for Fusion hybrids. There are different coupons out there. I wasn't allowed to use it as I bought on Z-Plan. My coupon was exactly like the one in post 7.
  2. Mine went an off-ste location a second time and returned later that day and was shipped out just before midnight. Here's a pic of the off-site location. Not many cars there now. At one time both lots were full.
  3. The KFC recipe was actually written overhead the doorway leading out of the kitchen of the family home. I had the pleasure of having lunch with Mildred Sanders Ruggles one afternoon in rest home she was living in. Now back to your regularly scheduled station.....
  4. It normally takes a couple of days for the details to show. When your car is loaded on a railcar the update will show the railcar number and you can then track the car yourself.
  5. My car had 25 miles on it and been sent twice to an off site location .If you look at the facility picture, jut to the Southeast of the pic there two huge parking lots that are capable of handling thousands of cars. On a very slow boring day a few months ago I counted the capacity of one of the lots and it was 12,000 plus.
  6. Don't kill the messenger - that is what I was told.
  7. I don't know about 2010 hybrid. I've talked to two ford hybrid technicians independently of each other and both told me the ICE recharges the 12v. I was told that if I continue to drive so few miles to hook up a trickle charge once in a while. Was also to hook it up directly to the battery and not the 12v attachment under the hood. He said the wires under the hood were to long and thick for a trickle charge. The connection under the hood should only be used to jump start the car if needed. I've tried looking up the power rating for the 2013 hybrid 12,v battery, but no luck so far. On short trips trying to get as much EV as possible seems counterproductive as the battery won't charge enough.
  8. I just had my 12v battery replaced as I was getting the battery saver message every time I turned the car off. You are correct there is no battery under the hood. I agree about the deep-cycle battery. I think it would solve the problem many FFH owners are having. My wife drives the car for work and only puts 4.3 miles (each way) a day on it. We do the usual weekend go-get-stuff trips on the weekends. The hybrid tech said that when the car goes into EV mode the 12v does not charge. It is only charged by the ICE.
  9. He is in AZ and you are in DC. I think the temp. difference is the main factor.
  10. You can ask your dealer to hot ship it for delivery. That speeds up the process. My dealer did that for me and mine was delivered the day after it arrived in the rail yard.
  11. I have one on a 1968 that has been in storage from the day it was new. The car is driven about 100 miles a year. It starts up every year.
  12. You are correct. I bought my 2010 Fusion as a dealer trade. It had pinstriping and etched glass. I told my dealer that I would not pay for it.
  13. The dealer where I got my car sells it for $249, a real bargain....NOT.
  14. You can buy the kit online for $20. that does the same thing the dealer does. I've used the kits before. If I can do it, you can. Dealer cost on this is less than $50.
  15. If you consistently get the Battery Saver message the battery is dropping and it is affecting the one-touch windows. My dealer replaced my 12v battery and no problem since. My car got to where the message showed every time I turned the car off or turned the key to accessory mode. If you take short trips the battery is not charging when it's in EV mode. It only charges when ICE is running. The dealer suggested a trickle charge once in a while, unless we take longer trips. Another tip. The hybrid tech said to charge the battery in the trunk directly and not to charge using the 12v setup under the hood. He said the wires were to thick and long to do much good on a trickle charge.
  16. You have 14 posts - 4 more than needed to ask Cyderman to track.
  17. My special ordered car (FFH) appeared on their website as in dealer inventory the day the dealer received it. They didn't waist any time as they used the car to entice people to come in to take a look. If someone came and asked about the car the reply was, that car was sold. Two days after I took delivery they took it down.
  18. If you go to the dealer they can input your VIN and print up your build sheet. The window sticker does not cover every little item of your build. You can also go to this site http://www.researchmaniacs.com/VIN-Number-Lookup/WindowSticker/Ford.html and input your VIN and print a copy of the sticker. P.S. - I'm an old, very old, unlimited sprint car racer. I once had a pre-race announcer ask me what my strategy was to win the race. I told him, go like hell and turn left. Even today that same strategy applies.
  19. Mt FFH started getting the battery warning not long after I took delivery. It got more frequent until it came on all the time. The dealer replaced the 12v battery. My one-touch window settings would go out whenever the batter saver message displayed. This is happening a lot, I think Ford got a bunch of bad batteries.
  20. The Miller rail yard is located at 8150 S Central Expy, Dallas TX. Many of the UP GPS locations are rail yards that don't relate to the name of the city they are in.
  21. When my FFH passed final inspection (had been sent off-site twice) it was loaded later that evening and the train departed at 11:55AM. In my case all that happened the same day.
