  1. This started after 5,000 mi. Won't do it when engine is cold, only after driving and getting everything warm under the hood.
  2. I don't know if there's a word for it. Like rubber rubbing against dry metal. It's a deeper sound than a squeak.
  3. Does anyone know if the 13 Escapes with 1.6 EB auto trans uses the dual clutch setup or a torque converter?
  4. Started getting a dry bushing sound from the steering when standing still and only when the engine compartment is warmed up.
  5. X2.. So all the connections on the BCM have to be disconnected..
  6. Have they checked the motor mounts
  7. Wow. Sorry to hear that. No problem with ours yet.
  8. We have a red light blinking when the alarm is set but I never looked that close to see what light is blinking. Can't check right now, the Escape is at the collision center..
  9. Has anyone seen the cabin filter installed on a 2013 Escape?
  10. You are correct Scott. Watched as the wife started the Escape and they did close on the cold start up. Thanks, thats exactly what I was looking for.
  11. Why do you need to test them? How do you know they are working? Are they powered? Do they close from air speed? Do they close when cooling system is at certain temp?
  12. How do we know the louvers on our Escapes are working properly? Any way to test?
  13. I'm looking at window deflectors soon too Wife wants these on her Escape also. The ones on the Taurus were a nightmare after several years. They were stuck on the rubber trim and after the tape aged they would loosen up. Had to pull them off, clean both surfaces and retape. This was every two years. If the ones for the Escape don't go in the channel I don't know if I'd want them.
  14. You know what they say; You Can't Fix Stupid...
  15. Same here..lol.. At the dealer today because of MFT shutting down twice in the last week. New APIM on order. Does anyone know if this will involve removing the dash?
  16. I would still like to know if the "temperature gauge" showed the rise in temp before the (engine overheated and loss of power) warnings started. I'am a gauge watcher. Always have been.
  17. Does anyone know if the temp. gauge showed the rise in temperature before the bells and whistles went off to warn of power loss and shutdown from overheating?
  18. No one has contacted me about the recall. Not Ford or my dealer.
