  1. Give me a PHEV light truck that has an electric range of 25 miles, and I'd pay a nice premium for it, because I'd go down to one vehicle.
  2. I gave up and bought a somewhat different Energi at a different dealer. Do you know what the holdup could have been? It was on order almost 3 months without a VIN
  3. Ok, another 10 days has passed. Any news on a VIN Yet? Dealer: F44209 Order No: A119 Red C-Max Energi Thanks!
  4. Hi Robert, Ford will not give me an eta on your c-max plug in. My manager informed me that they are building out a batch of them for G.E. and that is what is taking so long. I can refund the deposit and keep the car on order for you. we did not expect it to take this long. :>(
  5. Any news on a VIN Yet? Dealer: F44209 Order No: A119 Red C-Max Energi Thanks! I'll be glad when I can quit bugging you guys!
  6. Hmmmmmm.... Wonder if I have a VIN Yet? Dealer: F44209 Order No: A119 Red C-Max Energi

  9. Is it too soon to ask for an update? Dealer: F44209 Order No: A119 Red C-Max Energi
  10. Dealer: F44209 Order No: A119 Red C-Max Energi At least that is what the dealer E-mailed to me Thanks, I appreciate the time and effort you are putting into this! Robert
  11. Same here. Nice, but not for $1,200. I also didn't bother with the self parking feature. I can do that fine... Other than that, I ordered everything! I almost religiously buy cars that are two years old. This is the first time I've made an exception in a long time, I was so impressed by the Energi.
  12. It will be interesting to see how far from real world mpg this car is. Will it have a simliar gap in mpg as the other hybrids when tested by Consumer Reports? "Also "Its all-electric EV mode has a range of 13 miles".... That's not enough.
  13. Makes me want to wait for the Fusion Energi rather than the C-max Energi I have on order.
  14. My GF bought the 2012 Escape as the 2013's were coming out because she preferred the older more SUV-like look. Of course, she traded in a 10 year old Explorer, so even that was a big drop in size. But she is VERY happy with the mpg. Robert
  15. There is definitely a learing curve in getting the most mpg. When I first got my Camry Hybrid (2007) my eyes were glued to the mpg display. I learned to accelerate at a certain speed then glide whenever possible. I used to get about 40 mpg on a trip. After some years I quit looking at the gauge and didn't care as much. Too much work. Typically I would get 32-35 combined, except in the winter. In the winter short trips are a killer, and I could go down to 28-30. Robert
  16. Any rumors on a Ford F-100 to replace the Ranger here in the U.S., in the forseeable future?
  17. I would buy one. I've had 3 Rangers. What I REALLY wanted was a Ranger Sized Plug In Hybrid. If I had that I'd go down to one vehicle. Now, I have a Honda Ridgeline for my truck, sold my Camry Hybrid, and have a Ford C-Max Energi on order.
  18. I'm interested to see what happens with the Fusion Energi. I have a C-max Energi on order, but if it takes *too* long I may reconsider... I'm also hoping that the rated/actual mpg disconnect I read about in the news this AM turns out not to be a big deal. Robert
  19. This is the first time I've actually *ordered* a new car, and my first Ford since my Ranger 4x4. This car will replace my Toyota Camry Hybrid, which has been a great car. I'm pulling for my new American car to be just as good! I have been waiting for a VIN for a while now. Wanted to get it before year end to get the tax credit this year, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen. Dealer: F44209 Order No: A119
