  1. I was more honed in on your tentative choice of 8000K, and I'm glad I could turn you off of that. Brightness will be fine. Ive seen 35w HID's in the new Fusion and they're about perfect. Shouldn't blind anyone. As far as if this particular kit will work, I'd read the previous posts in this thread. I've heard of some who've had luck with plug and play, but others who didn't and felt that a new harness (included with some other kits) made the difference. YRMV seems to be the credo in HID since there are so many suppliers and kits out there. Oh, also the title on that EBay listing is for H13. You need H11. I see they offer it in many different types, so maybe it's just a general auction for any type, but make sure you order H11 if you pull the trigger.
  2. 8000K is going to be really blue, bordering on purple. That fact coupled with the fact that they are 35w is going to mean you will have even less effective headlights than the stock halogen system. I think you should stay with 6500K or even 5000K, but to each his own. If you're looking for the bluer, then fine, but know you will lose some effectiveness. Otherwise, as far as quality, they look to be the same ballasts as most decent kits out there. Ballasts is what one should be paying attention to as far as durability.
  3. Normal. Most of the time your engine will not be on at all when idling. Hence the silence. An Atkinson cycle engine coupled to a CVT will always seem waaaay different than any conventional ICE car you've driven.
  4. If only you could use them all! Lol Or spread the wealth to those who can't seem to be on the receiving end of only one!
  5. Our was transferred from rail to the auto hauler lot on a Tuesday evening. Dealer didn't get it until Friday morning. We couldn't get there until Saturday.
  6. Totally! My wife just pestered me about when I'm going to take that off, lol.
  7. Lol, yeah the survey. They talked about the survey several times. "We'd like to make sure you can give us all 5s. If there's anything we need to do to help you in giving all 5s please let us know." Ok!!! Just let us drive away, we'll give you 10s for cripesake!
  8. Doesn't matter how much you have done ahead of time. They'll still make you wait. We had financing ahead of time, a payoff letter from our trade-in's bank, all our insurance, registration, etc. still took 3.5 hours. They had to try and sell us all their add-ons, even their own financing, and try to show us the features of the car. I'm probably too patient when it came to that but my wife was ready to tell them off!
  9. Right, it appears you have not only a physically smaller battery than is specified in the manual, but also a smaller one in capacity... By at least 110 amps. I'd consult your dealer about this problem and the discrepancy!
  10. Just found one by Curt (model 12091) but it requires removal of the lower fascia if so equipped. Hmmmm...
  11. I'm in the market for a hitch receiver as well. Just an 1-1/4" for a bike rack. Don't want the hassle and potential for body damage that a trunk-mount rack brings. So anyone done this yet?
  12. Sorry I rambled! Just really excited. Yeah, just the single exhaust, and while I really like the look of the dual integrated on the TTM gassers, I don't dislike the single as much as I thought I might. Thanks! Yeah, I'm really quite pleased with the color. My first choice was Sterling Gray but my wife vetoed since all of my cars have been dark gray since 2001. I'm glad she did! Like I said, I don't mind the single exhaust, but I'll def be watching your thread on converting to dual integrated! Good work so far!
  13. Right! Just took advantage of this today. Bright and sunny but still a dreary 31 degrees. :-( Driving great! Wife had no problems to and from work this morning, but was afraid to pull it into the garage when she got home so I put another 40 miles on today hybrid-only. Still did well enough. You can definitely hear and feel the ICE when taking off from a stop, but its not all that bad. Otherwise the ICE kicks in very smoothly and near silently at speed. The Empower gauge setting is very useful for attempting max MPG. So far the computer shows 39.7 lifetime mpg in the 189 miles that are on it. This is only with one full and one 3/4 charge. Not bad I think. Got a lot of looks today too, probably partly because of the silence in parking lots! Lol, kinda creeps up on people. Still working on the iOS PHEV app becoming fully functional as I think I'm still in the 24 hr waiting period before the final permission is asked for. Otherwise I have gotten connected to it after some difficulty and it has some cool functions so far. Will def have to get a level 2 charger soon.
  14. Just took delivery of my Energi TTM today! Please update the database if you like! And let me know if anyone has any questions I might be able to help with! See Here for Details!
