  1. Do you have pics of the tint? Looks like the factory tint plus a 50% tint will get me to be state legal. Thank you
  2. This is something I would've loved to have on my Fusion Ti. Sad they didn't offer it.
  3. I hope they are not, but we noticed some differences based on other images. We won't know for sure until a few months time. I certainly hope they are the same. But be ready for wiring and headlight modding along with paying a pretty penny as I'm sure they'll be expensive. I'll wait to see if they change things for 2014/2015 for the US market.
  4. Yesterday took it out for a small photoshoot. Will post pics and my review later on at some point. Probably next week.
  5. Now for the discouraging input. My friend and I noticed that the '14 Mondeos have a slightly different shaped headlight compared to the US versions at the ends. Seems like the headlight is a tad longer and angled just slightly different to the US market. So in order to properly do this conversion, more than likely you'll have to change out the fenders as well. Still too early to tell but this may be a deal breaker for a lot of folks if the differences in headlights hold up on the production Euro market.
  6. I'm going to hold off and see what happens with the 2015 model. We might see a HID option, and I'd rather have it be factory or close to factory.
  7. Washed and gave her a nice coat of sealant! And also deleted the stupid pin stripes some dealer put on it. Pinstripes are so 1980s... They belong on classic or two tone cars.
  8. This. Even better, purchase your own sealant (and high quality wax) and do it yourself.
  9. Search for wheel repair and refinish businesses. Some of them will come to you and fix it on site.
  10. Looks like it's prepainted. So the part would arrive as a painted part and they just replace it that way. That's my best guess at it.
  11. Looks like they just need to replace the bottom skirt of the bumper, hence the no paint issue. Be sure to bring up any other issues as soon as you can.
  12. I would guess as a 2015 model. However, the pricing is going to be the biggest concern, especially optioned out. The SHO starts out at $39k MSRP, The Fusion Titanium AWD starts at $32k. Really not much wiggle room there for an ST.
  13. Thank you for adding this. This is exactly what I wanted to know!
  14. Ford already makes it. It's called the Ford Mustang. As nice as a Fusion coupe sounds, it just doesn't make logistical sense producing a car that will compete against another car by the same manufacturer. They would be way to close to each other. I'm thinking that spring next year, when the 2015 Mustang is introduced, it'll look a lot more like what the Fusion is currently styled at. Plus the rumor mill is a 2.0+ L EB engine will be unveiled. So my recommendation would be to stay patient and wait and see what the next generation Mustang looks like.
  15. As someone that currently owns a car ('99 Cougar) with European headlights and taillights, let me point out a few things: 1. They required modifications and harnesses (for the tail lights) for them to work. While the head and tail lights bolted on with no problems however, the taillights required a different harness and also different bulbs. I also had to modify the head lamp assembly to accept the 3157 (turn signal) bulb since the Europeans do not use a 3157. 2. I had to make headlight beam and pattern adjustments. I had to make adjustments inside the headlight since they were designed for RHD and English roads (left lane driving). Everything on the left side was well lit up, but the right side was poorly lit. So I had to make headlight beam pattern and angle adjustments to get it close to US specs, otherwise I would blind people driving in the opposite lane. 3. Not everything works. The European Cougar head lamp assemblies have this neat driving light however, there's no plug for it in the US models since it's not available in the US models. These are things that you should expect if you're planning to do a Mondeo Headlight (or even tail light) conversion. My Advice if you're going to do this venture: 1. Do your parts research. Make sure you look at all the drawings so you have the applicable harnesses and various parts needed to make the conversion work properly. 2. Be ready to make modifications and adjustments. This may require modifying the actual head lamp assemblies or even rewiring. It may require cutting and splicing and since these being head lights you don't want to do a crap job on them. It'll also require beam pattern adjustments as to not blind others on the road and so that you can actually see in front of you. 3. Be ready to spend some money. This conversion is probably not going to be cheap and you might be surprised at the actual cost of the Mondeo head lamps (especially ones with Xenon HIDs). 4. Be patient. There may be newer US head lamps for the 2014 or 2015+ models. Doing a US to US conversion is a lot easier than doing a US to Euro conversion. I know I've been there and done it. I'm not trying to stray you away from it. I'll be honest, those Mondeo head lights are freaking sweet. I want to provide you my experiences and insights when I did my US to Euro conversion. Remember the Mondeo IS the flagship model for Ford Internationally as there is no International Taurus or even Lincoln. That's why they are so much more expensive there.
  16. I think you should take your car in and get the Parking Brake looked at and repaired under warranty before it breaks!
  17. Keep in mind that the Lincoln Wheels I believe are wider than the 19inch Titanium wheels. Therefore the Lincoln wheels have a different tire profile, one that seems to have a much larger selection than the 235/40/19 Titanium profile, for now. Hopefully that changes soon. Glad to hear you did it! I'm sure lots of people will thank you for providing the info regarding wheel weights. I'm sure lots of people will be curious what your fuel efficiency does with the 19s added. They do make the Hybrid look sooo much better!
  18. I have used auto geeks microfiber bone and their natural sea sponge. Both are highly recommended, and their DP microfiber wash solvent.
  19. Are you driving conservatively? Keeping the engine under 3k rpms? Premium or regular? I see you're in the NE. Just wondering on your driving style.
  20. Calm down! Remember your car is still under warranty and the MFT if I'm not mistaken is extended to 5 years. Have you taken the car in for warranty work?
  21. The other issue is that the EPA is using 100% gasoline to begin with. It's near impossible for most people to find 100% gasoline fueling stations. Talk about skewed numbers to begin with!
  22. I'm looking to rent one as well. It might be hard to find a 2.0L EcoBoost model.
  23. This is my take from what I've been reading. The car is capable of getting EPA mileage. However, YMMV does come into play here. Some people drive more aggressively than others. I don't see a whole lot of people logging in and complaining about poor mileage. People that are pleased with its performance usually stay silent on the forums. Those with a bad experience usually will voice their displeasure. There seems to be a break-in and adjustment period with these engines so take that into consideration as well. I think the Fusion Titanium will be a great replacement for your Sonata.
  24. Thank you for your reply. I usually drive conservatively, especially when I either go home before morning rush or head to work before morning rush. However, I do enjoy a nice spirited run every now and then. I have definitely calmed down on my driving. I would be nice if they had a hybrid on a 1.6L Eco Boost or something to appease the spirited driver. Hopefully we see that in the future.
  25. This is even addressed in the actual vehicle's specifications. http://www.ford.com/cars/fusion/specifications/engine/ Remember that there also is the upcoming aftermarket. We could see something down the line, especially for the 1.6L EB folks. Might be able to get carried over for the Hybrid folks. A centralized exhaust port (similar to Focus ST) would look pretty sweet.
