  1. I had the same code. My whole sensor went out 2 days after delivery with only 176 miles. There was another one at the dealership with the same code at only 800 miles. They ended up replacing the sensor.
  2. I messaged the Military Exchange New Car Sales program to contact the dealer to notify them when it's ready. You're amazing!
  3. Thank you so very much! I can breathe easier now with this move! We fly out of here next week! It'll be so nice just to go to the dealership, sign my papers and pick it up. Thank you again!
  4. My apologies cyberdman and my apologies for wasting your time. I'm double checking as I post. VIN is 1FMCU9G97DUC89981 (I missed the second to last character). Any info you could provide would assist so much with my family's planning!
  5. I purchased through the AAFES Exchange New Car Sales program here in Turkey. The sales person says the car is scheduled to be delivered no later than 6/19 with a rush date of 6/5 but he seems to be blowing me off as he'd rather sell cars than track cars. I made the delivery order the first week of April. Two months sounds way too long. The Escape is to be delivered to Cal Worthington Ford in Anchorage, Alaska. Could you help? The VIN is as follows: 1FMCU9G97DUC8991
  6. With these TSBs, should a factory delivery have all of the TSBs taken care of before I take delivery?
  7. I'm awaiting my Escape to be delivered and I'm moving to Alaska and I want to prep for the winter (as they are long there). They allow studded snow tires and of course non studded like Bridgestone Blizzaks are also a fan favorite. What are the big pro/cons of studded vs non studded and what is the big benefit of downsizing the wheel size for 16"s in the winter. Seems it'd throw Speedometer and Odometer out of whack as well as having to get new TPMS sensors. Also, should I have dedicated rims or just get them mounted on the factory rims? I'm a cold weather newbie so please don't flame.
  8. Wow, I'm kind of shocked as how difficult that looks to be. I remember with my old Civic and old Element, I just had to take down two clips in the glove box and the filter was easily accessible to change. I do think I'm up for the challenge though. You said the electronic went a little haywire - did it have any impact on SYNC functionality?
  9. I wonder why Coopers aren't in that market research on page 1. I loved the Coopers that I had on my old Element. They got me through some really deep snow, throughout the Southeast and then up to New England with no trouble at all and wonderful traction, handling and ride.
  10. The Euro sportswagens are cool but I think market research shows that the majority of car owners would opt for the more commanding views offered by mini-vans with the functionality of a wagon. This is where the Flex comes in. I do admire them when I see them pass by but I also admire the Euro sportswagens. I believe with gas still being expensive, the market will steer back to wagons. I just don't see it anytime soon.
  11. I trully agree. I was looking at the small truck segment before finally opting for an Escape. Its sad that a leader in the segment let the Ranger go really stale before it went the way of the dinosaur. Gas is still really expensive and people NEED small trucks. Tacomas and Frontiers are all over the place because the Ranger went stale. I really hope Ford doesn't miss out on this segment for too long!
  12. The T-bird, oh what a beautiful car. I even loved the 80s reincarnation - the 90s, it was a little different but was released in such limited supply and kind of looked a little like the vehicles in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit." I know Ford designers can make the Mustang cutting edge, yet still holding true to the unbridled spirit of the original Mustangs - they should be able to do the same with the T-Bird. Hopefully they don't bring back the Edsels
  13. Maybe opt for the 20 ouncers Only kidding. I can't wait to take delivery of my Escape. I know in the euro Focus the cupholders are not a problem - in fact they hold gigantic American sized 32 ouncers.
  14. The mini Bronco or the big Bronco or both? I think there would be a market for it, but looking at Ford streamlining production as much as possible and having a worldwide fleet of vehicles, this may not be economical for a niche North American segment.
  15. I strongly agree. I'm a member of the Armed Forces. My family and I are relocating to Alaska from overseas and I purchased a vehicle through the Exchange New Car Sales Program. The car should be enroute to a local dealer in Alaska for delivery however the salesman can not tell me where the vehicle presently is. He keeps insisting he did a "hot" on it for delivery by 6 June but it is scheduled to get there no later than 19 June. Rental cars in Alaska are on Orbitz for approximately $1500 a week. I'm avoiding getting a rental car like the plague so I can get some more Ford accessories. Why isn't there a better option Ford?
