  1. It wouldn’t surprise me to find out whoever runs UAW social media is deleting negative comments
  2. Most of the shit talkers have been pretty quiet the last 10 hours.
  3. Full details will be out Sunday evening after the Ford council votes on whether or not to send it to membership for a vote.
  4. Big difference in the reaction on the MAP Facebook groups I’m in vs the post on the UAW International page. There’s 1 guy in particular I know is going to be very, VERY bitter for the next 4 years if this passes.
  5. Full details should be available Sunday evening after the Ford council voted on whether or not to bring it to the membership has always struck me as a formality. Strike ends today to keep pressure on GM and Stellantis. Everyone on strike now is considered to be on TLO until return to work process is worked out.
  6. video from Fain https://www.detroitnews.com/story/business/autos/2023/10/25/ford-uaw-set-to-announce-tentative-agreement-with-25-percent-raise/71320883007/
  7. Still waiting on the official announcement but what local leadership told the strikers at the line is the strike is officially over at 8pm and stand by for return to work instructions. That is being coordinated between union leaders and management right now.
  8. Watch them take 2 weeks to vote like they usually do ??‍♂️ could get it done by Monday if they really wanted to.
  9. Rumored to be a 25% raise over 4 years with COLA and the Facebook mafia is pissed it’s not at least 30 ??‍♂️
  10. She needs to keep her mouth shut and stay out of it.
  11. Very reliable source says keep an eye on the news around 5 or 6
  12. It’s partly because it was a 100 percent mailing system and not everyone has their correct address on file. Had they had every local do an in person ballot turnout would have been much higher
  13. I really hope that’s true. It’s past time to get this shit settled.
  14. I think the desire amongst the majority of the membership is a minimum of 30%. My best friend I talk to constantly keeps saying it’s going to be hard for him to vote for less than that.
  15. I only know about it from a friend who used to work for one of those agencies at Trenton Engine and a friend of the family who was a supervisor at that plant.
  16. Stellantis has been doing that as far back as the days they were still Chrysler and owned by Cerberus. It’s a HUGE point of contention with the union and has been as long as I can remember.
  17. Except Nautilus was never built in the US. It’s built in Canada until 2024 comes out.
  18. This is kind of the impression I’ve gotten over the years as well. I think it’s why certain parts of the business haven’t had cuts as deep as they need to be.
  19. I’ve yet to talk to anyone in person who thinks it’s not a contract worthy of at least voting on, but no we can’t have that because Mr. Big Ego president has to have everything. Worst thing that can happen is it gets voted down and things stay the way they are right now. Really makes me wonder who’s pulling his strings.
  20. Not true. There is no picket line on the ISA side of the plant (Van Born and Cogswell entrances). Sucks for the people in north stamping though, they have a 20 minute walk to get to their department every day because they have to go through Stamping, Subs, and through the old tunnel to the north side. However the teamsters that work for Cintas are stupid and don’t understand our side doesn’t have a picket line to cross so I STILL haven’t gotten my uniforms yet ?.
  21. Patience is getting thin amongst those who’ve been out the longest. The membership is certainly getting more and more divided the longer this goes on.
