  1. you get crickets, , because they don't know, HALF OF WHAT THEY DO IS DONE OFF THE CUFF AND ON THE FLY, they negotiate things once every 4 years and act like what is achieved is a total surprise, instead of forward thinking and saying I am asking for this and that, not sure what is going to be, but I can do some on paper planning to help with transition for what becomes a reality.instead those powers do what you see as an end result, piss poor communication, zero planning. With mass media and the internet their disregard for us becomes more and more evident not every day, but every minute, and also remember the internet scares them, it takes away their ultimate power, knowledge, if they don't share with you , they don't have to answer to you
  2. the post I did above was just my view , tier1 production and tier2 each have their own view , and that is our problem as a group, the union has done the companies work for them and divided us into sub-groups, we aren't THE UAW anymore, WE HEVE BEEN TURNED INTO SEVERAL INDIVUAL GROUPS FIGHTING FOR OURSELVES

I believe the reality is, trades have been ignored because all of the big 3 have been trying to consolidate and outsource the work, the reason for not offering buyouts to them is, its suddenly been realized there is not a large labor pool of trained , educated and qualified people to take their place ,here in this plant , a third are 65yrs old+ , more than half are 55yrs old+ , , more than a third to half of all have 30yrs+ with ford, do to bad economy of the last several yrs, apprentices were not regularly placed on course for last ten yrs, if you remember the 1990s, every year more apprentices of every trade were placed on course to take the place of anticipated future retirements, anyone remember when we used to get a tool allowance in every contract? gm trades have reminded all of us that there are many issues that are unique to us as a group , and we need to make sure that they are addressed with our vote
  4. these orders are commercial fleet no bed, think ma bell truck with small one man lift and work drawers, construction work trucks, service trucks ,cable co. phone co. number hearing per year is 60,000 for these, possible small bed line for outside of u.s. orders, hearing paint already ran trials for aluminum ,,when I say hearing ,cause it was my ears, this is all real, trades in plant have been on full utilization for over a year and if your not a trade and don't know what that means ask one!!!! we are asshole deep in work thru end of year for multiple launches
  5. so you say your getting aluminum, guess what? that makes us alike. just hearing , mabe f150 commercial fleet orders next, go ,use your resourses that are available to you at work, go to company home page type ohap and current platform you are running and read.
