  1. This was one of the reasons why I didn’t want to take the Fusion on our 1,500 mile road trip to the beach cabin. Those pesky damn bugs that lace the front end with suicidal actions. Took me about half an hour with a brush to get em all off. What a pain. Is there an easier way to get em off without so much scrub??? I was thinking of buying a leather bra for my Fusion and the girls new car.. but they really degrade the overall look of the vehicle
  2. My 2012 was only 8 months old when I got it last may, so it’s now 20 months old.
  3. Geez. What a bunch of girls here.. I say I don’t like the F150 and state my personal thoughts on the one select vehicle and everyone starts to freak out. What a bunch of losers.. You know, those select fools On the ignore list that “mod” goes - what a troll.
  4. Thanks for the writeup. I know I love my leather steering wheel over the SE trim. The thickness helps a ton.
  5. Damn. Amazing how cheap they are getting. I paid $16,100 for my Fusion fully loaded with 28k miles on it..
  6. Here’s my Fusion.. 2012 SEL v6. It’s a spare vehicle so it doesn’t see too much road time. Owned it for exactly a year as of yesterday and I’ve racked on about 4 or 5k miles (1,800 of that was a trip to Colorado last October). Great car. I like it alot. And I should have my new 2014 Fusion SE in a few months. Excited to see how well that performs. And it’ll be interesting to compare both fusions side by side (I’m keeping the 2012). The Day I got it (Paid $16,100. Negotiated over the phone with the dealer 30 miles away).
  7. Wouldn’t surprise me.. 2013 Telsa sold 17,650 (model S) 2014 to date, about 4,600 models (4 months sales figures) Lincoln Navigator 2013 sales - 8,613 http://insideevs.com/monthly-plug-in-sales-scorecard/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lincoln_Navigator It is neat seeing the trend of power houses coming back into play.. now that the country has somewhat adjusted to the rise of fuel. A few years ago it was the best MPG you could obtain. Now it’s gearing toward more power. But still advancing to better MPG in both the smaller engines and bigger motors. But the motion to save money at the pumps is still strong out there. Where Ford/Lincoln could grasp if they do try making better MPG numbers in hybrid modes over the big power joy rides. A good example was on the fusion forum, my neighbor, and co-workers all gave me an upside down smile because my girl and I decided to take the SUV on our 1,500 mile road trip for a week stay at the cabin on the Oregon coast, given we have a few options on other vehicles that will break 30 mpg highway vs the 18.5 we obtained in the SUV. They all looked dumb founded by our choice in vehicle for the trip. But truth be told - the SUV was much more comfortable!
  8. Nice!! I can’t wait to get mine. Only 3 months away Hope you enjoy the ride!
  9. Same thing with the Nissan/Infiniti brand. I went and checked out the new Armadas (this was back in 2008) and also the QX56 by Infiniti and for $5k more I could have the base “infniti” version. Pretty much HID headlights, stability track, front air bags (collision stuff) and a few other tweaks. But other than those settle differences, it was amazing how identical they were. The only real reason I could see the reason to buy such brands is due to the fact you don’t see them at every traffic light. You see an Expedition at nearly every traffic light (at least where I live) but you’d be hard pressed to see a Navigator at every traffic light.. which could be appealing. There is a Tesla dealership a few miles from my home and the range isn’t too great on those, but people are sucking them up like hot cakes. I see more Telsa cars than Navigators as of the last 6 months..
  10. So because I actively come onto this forum and participate in a thread which in turn did allow me to express my deep disappointment of the F150, all the sudden that’s just being a troll? Sorry my views of the vehicle don’t fit in.. I could see people who don’t agree with me seeing it as troll like activities. How does those few posts in that specific thread relate to my other posts in other threads? You sure are quick to point out the negatives over the positives..
  11. You can thank the fleet world for such slow delivery! Ford offers competitive pricing to big companies. In order to help fight for contracts, ford will only allow fleet vehicles to be made in Mexico. Due to cheaper labor & import costs, this helps lower the overall price of the vehicle in mass units. So pretty much american consumer = Michigan plant. Fleet (rental cars, big companies, ect) = Mexico plant. ..no idea where special orders come in at - but I assume the USA plant as everyone wants to live by the “American made” joke of marketing.. Anywho, hope this helps!
  12. I see the same trend across a multiple of forums. it’s pathetic..but hey - the forum mods will continue to fight a battle they can’t win only to feel like they have some sort of power in the world. ..All because you simply can’t please everyone. Thus a never ending battle. I personally don’t care about political talk. I tend to stay out of such threads because I honestly don’t give a shat about anything related to such topic. But I do enjoy the forums for their off-topic area and their focus area. I joined this forum because I own a couple Fords and plan on buying either an Expedition or a Mustang and would like to stay current with their progression. Much easier to be part of a single forum vs a few other single focus forums..
  13. I thought of your post after reading this post in another thread.. Titan = jap junk. One of my good friends is a marine and has done a few tours and drives a Titan aka jap junk. Has a few marine related decals on his window. Just goes to show.. Not everyone has the same views as others on vehicles.., Food for thought.
  14. So because the truck is a lead seller it's the best? What a joke remark that is.. Fact is not everyone likes the f series. Otherwise where would the other trucks like ram or silverado be? Each their own..
  15. But I own two fords. And this is a ford forum.. I don't own any gmc vehicles (assuming that's what you meant. Otherwise my apologies, no idea what gmi is)
  16. Oh boo hoo. Another mod pulling his panties down and flinging them in hopes it will mean something. So I suppose this forum is only about the positives of fords.. And myself as a consumer owning a new f150 and was un satisfied with the vehicle simply has no voice in the matter. Look, I simply don't like the f150 and would take a lot for me to go back. If that upsets you then I really have no idea what could possibly please you. So please, continue being mean. Because I actually enjoy it please feel free to check out my intro thread. You can see my Titan on there. And tell me how shitty nissan is. That may make you feel better..
  17. Dash cam. Otherwise drive at your own risk. Plain and simple. In regards to the main post.. Interesting. But I can see it being an issue given the avoidance systems. Infiniti has the similar setup only their cars prime the brakes. It's up to the driver to actually press the brakes.
  18. You girls need to simmer down. When it comes to a truck I needed a real truck. Not an underpowered carriage on pretty wheels. For the record, I own a 2012 Fusion and an 89 Bronco. So don't go breaking your nails typing an angry response because I think the ford trucks are junk these days.. And I posted in this thread because the Lincoln version of fords are a joke. More money for a less seen name on the road. But hey.. At least we have choices! Just not everyone will agree
  19. Because sheep tend to roll in herds.. plus most f150 owners are guys who paint their nails. Trying to hold onto their man-card. Yet their way to buy mulch is in a bag at walmart. So much for getting their bed dirty/scratched up.. Either way. Had one. 2008. POS and weak motor. I’m hoping their ecoboost motors are better. Only time will tell..
  20. haha that’s awesome! They are very loyal and protective. Here’s Arlo when he was just a puppy.. always next to his mommy. Even when he was super tired & sleepy, he would still stand guard next to mommy
  21. True.. And it’s a shitty truck to start with! Further more, everyone everywhere has one.. talk about being a sheep. I will never own an F150 again. Unless I drive one often and it’s better than that shitty one I had.
  22. Wow vehicles are getting expensive these days..
  23. Yeah.. after about 7 months he was pushing 90lbs. The girl and I never had an issue with him over-powering us. But one day went into protection mode and neither myself or my girl could hold him back. He’s one strong pup and a total mommas boy haha An idea of how sweet he is, I took him to the dog park and a small (target) dog kept jumping up and trying to bite him, being ruthless. Well our dog didn’t want any trouble and kept trying to cower behind me (he about 1.5yr old at this point). After the third time I said “ouch!” and he instantly went from coward mode and grabbed this little dog by the neck and pinned him to the ground. Never heard an ankle biter screw so loud in my life! He didn’t break the skin but he did show that little dog who’s boss after I said “ouch!” from the little dog biting my leg.
  24. I’m 6’3 and I sit comfortably in both. But the killer is the cage in the back. Those tend to shave off inches. Thankfully I like to hump my steering wheel so I don’t need to push my seat as far back as others whole rather stretch out.
