  1. Hey dipshit you're are using a whole years hours to calculate, when in reality it depends on your hire in date. Someone with January seniority would be $1.50 behind for 4 months. September seniority would be needed for a 12 month difference. Now don't you have legacy member to be blowing?
  2. You would give up $8500 to get a $1.50 raise a few months ahead of time? Not smart.
  3. This is clearly a yes vote. Also the size of a check doesn't affect the amount of taxes you pay. It's your annual income that does.
  4. Wah wah wah.....I make roughly $32/hr, get signing bonuses, profit sharing, pay $0 for insurance.....but damn it I want my measly COLA back. You sound like a whiney bitch!
  5. What are you not getting back? You are getting raise. I'm confused? Cola and the inflation bonus are about a $1500 difference max.
  6. You guys that say you're voting yes or no and haven't seen the contract yet are fools. Haha. WTF?
  7. Wall street doesn't see it that way. According to investors GM is a better company. Ford will not want to be seen as increasing labor cost. We won't get a penny more than GM.
  8. He's obviously speaking for Tier 2 raises and 401k is currently matched at 4%, but a dollar per hour compensated is also contributed. It's already close to 6% currently when that's factored in, so in reality its not increased. I guess we can count caustic as being easily fooled.
  9. I hope you get your head cut off by ISIS one day.
  10. You give this union a bad name. How can you be a union member and justify that you should make more money than someone doing the same job? You need to research and study what a union represents.
  11. A raise that still left a $9/hr difference for someone doing the same job. Not good no matter how you try to spin it.

  13. 40*$29*52=$60,320 $60,320+$5,000 profit share(which is a conservative figure)=$65,320 $65,320+$1500 lump sum bonus=$66,820 $66,820 with no overtime. Seems like that is the middle ground for your electrical engineer salaries. Not to mention after this contract you'll be at, at least $32/hr. Lol!
  14. I bitch about Tier 1 trying to extract a raise at the expense of Tier 2. Nothing more.
  15. How many years have you made $80,000-$90,000? Thanks for proving my point and not even realizing it.
  16. No offense, but you like to complain and bitch a lot. First you cry you don't want to be laid off, then when you get an opportunity to stay on at your home plant you say you're going to quit.
  17. Negative on the plumber, carpenter and drywall finisher. You are forgetting the 401k contribution and no insurance premium. All of the above pay a premium and get no 401k contribution.
  18. I've stated many times I knew what I was getting into and also knew that I would be getting a raise this year. Thanks for the laugh with the word "dweeb" as I haven't heard that used in about 25 years.
  19. Once again I stated that I thought people in his position would be better off by transferring. I could care less if he quit and worked at McDonalds. All I'm saying is a quick search of job postings will tell you that most of us make decent money, some (Tier 1), make very good money compared to what else is available.
  20. That's understandable and for the record relocation benefits for Tier 2 should be added this contract.Actually people like me will hopefully change the public opinion of the UAW in the future. I'm not selfish or greedy. I've been on a record as saying move ALL Tier 2 up to around $25/hr with a 401k match, that is far from greedy. My seniority would bump me up to Tier 1 in no time, but I'd rather eliminate the cap and take a little less so no Tier 2 is stuck in the bottom percentage for years.
  21. You're missing my point evidently. I implied that transferring was what I thought was best for someone in your position. That way you are not waiting on a call.
  22. Why didn't you leave for a better job 20 years ago? You've always had one of the best jobs around and you know it. I'm sure you recall me saying I took a small pay cut to come here because I knew Id be getting a raise this contract.
