  1. In the past I've always bought one of those small tubes from Ford. I did a little research and found this place: Automotive Touchup: Touch Up Paint and Accessories The paint matches really well.
  2. You say you got the Sport Package! I don't see a Sport Package listed for SE. All that are listed" Appearance Package Luxury Package SE Luxury Driver Assist Package SE MyFord Touch Tech Package Terracotta Package Which engine do you have? At $17,888 you did get a smoking price!
  3. In Idaho front side it's 35%, rear side 20%. I haven't had my Fusion's windows tinted and haven't checked into it yet! I did have my previous vehicles done, the last a Sport Trac which had privacy glass from Ford on the rear, and rear side windows so I had the front side done to match the rear side, which was 20%. Not legal, but it looked great. In the 8 years I had the Sport Trac I was never stopped for tint (or anything else) That said, I have noticed that as I've gotten older the tint definitely had an affect on how well I could see out the side windows. If you do have 20% or darker tint, don't be surprised if you get stopped and the cop has his hand on his weapon! You would be smart to open your window and keep your hands on the wheel. Just my 2¢ worth!
  4. No not always, this "one instance" helped to explain my thinking compared to one one elses.! That's where a little extra comes in handy, at WOT. The larger surface area of a cone filter allows quite a bit more airflow which is what I'm after.
  5. I'm not concerned about getting cold air to the engine, since with the turbo the air will be heated anyway, but with air flow & filtration. On my Harley, just opening up the very restricted airbox & mufflers there was a significant increase in power. Once I went farther, (also increased it from 88CI to 95CI and more) with full true dual exhaust with low restriction mufflers, a complete new intake with a smooth bore and very little restriction from the air cleaner, cams, etc., the power increase was very noticeable. All the increases in engine volume, cams, etc. would have be pointless without a very low restricted intake and exhaust. The CAI intake systems come equipped with a high-flow filter design of some kind. This alone can increase the power potential of your car’s engine quite a bit, sometimes up to 5 percent. The stock air filter is often one of the biggest obstructions of the intake path; it drastically limits airflow and reduces fresh air infiltration. Cold air and short ram intake designs replace the stock air filtration system with a high flow cone filter, which usually has an increased surface area over stock designs. Also, high flow filters generally use an oiled cotton or similar filter element to replace the stock design’s paper filter. The way cold air and short ram intake systems function is by removing restriction from the intake path. The more air your car can draw in and mix with fuel, the more power it is able to make. This allows the engine to maintain a high-velocity and low-turbulence flow of air. I'm not looking for huge bump in power and won't be tearing into the engine, just want a less restricted air intake path.
  6. What brands/models of CAI are you all using for the 2.0 EcoBoost? Any pictures and info re: installation & performance?
  7. Does anyone know the actual width of the 18" Rims used on the Fusion? (8" or 8 1/2") I think 265/40 R x 18 tires would look pretty good, almost 1 1/4" wider. This size wouldn't affect the speedometer reading at all. But I'm thinking you would need a rim in the 9 1/2" range.

  9. 2015 Chevrolet Impala and 2015 Ford Fusion Specifications Some good specs on this page.
  10. I was think something along those lines. 2 - Tweeters front doors up high 8 - 2-way speakers in the doors 1 - Sub 1 - Somewhere! ;-)
  11. The SE has 6 Speakers and I know where the locations are. The Titanium has 12 Speakers in 10 locations. I figure the sub would be in the back of the trunk and 6 speakers in the same location as the SE's 6. So where would the other 5 locations be?
  12. Having been able to play with it for a couple months now I too like it. From what I've seen of the "new & improved" version I'm happy with the current version. For anyone that wants to play with the current version just download "MyFord Touch Guide" to your phone, it works just like the one in a car. Just configure it to the appropriate car model and whether you want the "Navigation" option. It's a pretty good guide and you don't have to sit in the car running the battery down! Screenshot:
  13. This is an alternative to the Shark Fin... I looked into the Shark Fin, but after looking at the amount of 3m tape that holds it in place, I wasn't about to spend $90 for one. It looks like there is only 1/8" - 3/16" (3-5mm) of surface area that goes around the bottom contact area. This one is about 4" (100mm), or about the length of the wide portion of the OEM antenna.
  14. Bike Plate... Back in 1995 I had the same wording, personalized plate on my Bronco that I had! ;-)
  15. These days just about everything in vehicles is controlled by Computer. My 2007 Sport Trac transmission, after I had it for 1 1/2 years, didn't want to smoothly shift into 1st as I was coming to a stop. Took it to the dealer, they put a scope on it, wiped the shift program and re-programmed it. Solved the problem for the next 6 1/2 years!
  16. I agree with that! They look like "also runs". Starting to lose interest in NASCAR, seems like if I catch the last 20-30 minutes that's all I need. 1:64 Scale
  17. I do see some folks doing it, but the way I see it, if someone wants a plate number there are hundreds of cars on the roads and parking lots to chose from! And if someone wants a plate, just go to any airport long term parking lot and they can "borrow" all sorts of plates. But thanks for the heads up.
  18. I used mine last weekend with no problems, with it or location of the vents. As far as the "Auto" setting; usually I have mine set in "Dual Zone", I like mine cooler than my wife! The "Auto" setting tried to adjust the temperature to what temp. you set it at and unless I'm on a road trip I don't use it. If you don't get enough airflow, turn up the fan speed.
