  2. Slick willy just had to sign nafta!! Now this moron pushing tpp smh wtf
  3. Ask guys that work 4crew most like it a lot! If I work 5/8s with 0 ot I work 260days a yr & make roughly 60k 4crew u work 182days a yr at 0 ot u make roughly 71k a yr so 78 less days of work for 11k more!! Granted them r 12hr days not 8 but u saving a lot a wear n tear on ur vehicle also!
  4. He doesn't want a pay cut & neither does anyone else, we haven't had a raise since 2004 he was throwing out a unrealistic # we don't want no buy down but if they wanna throw around a figure we may listen if it's 250k which won't ever happen & 250k is like 160k after union/governments slice
  5. Went up at Sterling this morning buffalo needs 63 Chicago stamping needs 20 Cleveland engine needs 256 kcap needs 42 Memphis hvc needs 2
  6. Union & or company affiliations most definitely help they'll bypass the guy w/o those all nt n day!! Sterlings trades r all very familiar last names as I'm sure it's the same way across other plants
  7. Dude 60 yrs wth that's 4 yrs of pay & that's with 00000 ot & no bonuses
  8. There's a posting at my plant for say dtp I put in for it I get it & I start at dtp I then give up all my rights & seniority at my former plant im now a member of the local at dtp & I now work at dtp I think that's bout the jist of it
  9. U can hope n wish for whatever u want but we r all 1 big disgruntled blue oval family & seniority is seniority period it's not a local issue its national, just this past Monday we had the bottom 40 guys from van dyke transmission plant come to the sterling axle plant & now they have 750 guys under them that's the way it works
  10. No way would that pass!! Last thing anyone is gonna take is less $$$ per hour when we haven't had a wage increase since 2004 & 10-20k ain't shit anyhow after taxes/unions slice ur talking 6-12k
  11. If r trades were to go AWS like production did then they would most definitely need to add apprentices
  12. The 40 that just got to sterling Monday from vd r ecstatic they went from being the bottom 40 to having atleast 700 under them
  13. Same with sterling..... It's the ford way as they say.
  14. The last contract in 2011 changed trades going to production language so that u no longer had to have been production to go to production if reduced from trades
  15. They could add alotta trades at sterling if they went AWS with trades like they did with production we've added prbly a good 400 or more here on acct of AWS
  16. Totally different zones... Open the book with uaw/ford contract written on the front
  17. Vd is half a mile from sterling. Y the hell would maps tier 2 come before vds tier 1???!!!!
  18. Awesome post fully agree!! I would much rather OUR $$$ b spent on that than wasting it trying to organize the japs,Koreans, nazis down south!!
  19. No comparison assembly plant work to parts plant work hats off to the assembly guys
  20. Chrysler is a foreign owned Italian company that took billions in tax payer $$$ to survive don't compare us to them! Seniority is 1984 or ur hire in date period
  21. That's some bs! We at sterling have taken in guys from wixom, vd, Romeo, saline, rawsonville hell maybe even more plants than that & the leveling is 1984 per iuaw which is how it outta b but 99% that have come r from say 1989 all the way up to 2013 & however ur seniority lands u either move up or down the ladder it helps some hurts some but seniority is seniority. I think the only thing a transfer can't do immediately is run for office think they gotta wait a year for that but job postings r fair game for all as it outta b!!!
  22. Come to sterling axle only production have to work aws, trades can work anywhere from 40-84hrs a wk all on traditional schedule
  23. Not entirely sure on rawsonvilles side but sterling was visteon & on the closing block w/o going to tier 2 ford had found Dana & American axle to do the work cheaper it was the only way to stay a viable ford plant. Tier 2 cannot transfer from sterling or rawsonville they cannot move upto tier 1.
  24. All that bein said from what i understand the $8 more an hr at the assembly plants is well deserved compared to the tier 2 only plants sterling/rawsonville I dont c ford changing those 2 plants back to tier 1 but they outta give the fellas here that want the chance at tier 1 to b able to transfer into the assembly plants
  25. Yep I hear it all the time overpaid lazy worthless pos uaw workers that's y cars cost so much u people, I just don't get it they don't have a clue. Do we make a decent middle class living yes we certainly do & we earn it by bustin r humps in hot stinky dirty shops & walk out in pain
