  1. It's so laughable to say it doesn't pertain to you. You must be psychic to know that you'll never again have an emergency on the first or last day of the week. That the case? Don't belittle the issue. You know how you eat an elephant? One bite at a time! That's how they take things. Little things that "aren't enough to make me vote no." Add up those little things over time and honestly ask yourself if they tried it at once if you'd feel the same way. At some point, you have to be willing to say "no more!" I have reached the point. It is a copout to say "things are different now." They are the same as they ever were. Our brothers years ago that fought the battle of the overpass knew the score. Just like we know the score right now. I'm willing to put it on the line! Not for "personal days" but the big picture. We had better in the past, and tightened our belts; and we gave back to keep the ship afloat. They WILL NOT give back unless we demand it. THIS is what unions are for. Be a proud member and stand strong TOGETHER!
  2. I'm glad someone else missed his logic also
  3. With perfect attendance comes the ability to use them after the fact. I'm sure you haven't maintained perfect attendance long enough to know that was the only benefit to doing so.
  4. Pretty self righteous! They also gave us "excused absence" days to use at our discretion. Not "usually excused."
  5. Who said strike? I said vote NO. This is called negotiations. Your immediate reaction to insult only highlights your lack of intelligence. Can we discuss things on here, or is this a forum of middle schoolers? Yes, I am willing to vote NO because of this issue. It is insulting to me as an adult to not be able to use a sick day if I have one available. Leave the childish behavior out of the conversation.
  6. If I want to use my "personal" time on all Mondays, my perfect attendance and the fact that I'm a grown ass man affords me that right. My vacation time is already a nightmare to schedule. This is just going to make it doubly hard to get a day off. DEAL BREAKER!
  7. They are taking away my right to use my personal time.
  8. I just said I have had perfect attendance since I hired in
  9. After-the-Fact Excused Absence Allowance days No more than two Excused Absence Allowance days may be taken after-the-fact on the first or last regular work day of an employees base work schedule within a calendar year. Employees may elect to use their After-the-Fact EAA on any other scheduled work day. DEAL BREAKER! Don't punish the good workers. I've kept perfect attendance for over 11 years do I can exactly this. Now they take away my one incentive...NO!
  10. I have heard that rumour as well...
  11. Typical millennial mentality..."I DESERVE IT"...No sir, you do not deserve it! You have not EARNED it. An employee with 30 days, 1 year, even 2 years, should not make what an employee with 20 years experience makes. No matter the company. If you consistently do your best, keep your head down, and be respectful, your value will be noted. Until then, stop whining about "FAIR".
