  1. Ford GT is already built up here in Markham, Ontario by Multimatic so if they did an electric version in Oakville that would be cool. GT is hand built though so that’s just fantasizing lol.
  2. Let’s just hope this plan is well thought out and doesn’t flop.
  3. The contract calls for large CUV so maybe you’re right. It would’ve been nice if they actually told us what these vehicles are actually called! Gonna be awhile I guess before any info is released. This is still over 4 years away!
  4. Oakville will be all BEV according to this contract I can’t see any Mustang ever being built outside of Michigan!
  5. Agreed, this is certainly subject to change. We’ve all seen this company move product around that was slated for other locations.

  7. This plan is still vague I feel the same way you do!
  8. Everything was done online on Sunday, we had a zoom meeting online. Voting deadline was 10:59 am today. They laid out the details with a video presentation for everyone then specific locals did their own videos. Question and answer session on zoom, we typed in questions then they answered what they could and chose to by way of video.
  9. I’m not surprised F-150 is the most important product. The profit machine.
  10. Your explanation makes sense, gonna be a lot of old tooling to be removed here when the time comes.
  11. You need to upload the master bargaining agreement that’s where it has the balance out information. That’s our local one.
  12. I thought we might get fusion active until this long term EV agreement was made.
  13. We have five unnamed EVs coming here, which in truth is probably 1-2 vehicles with 5 different variants.
  14. We are currently doing roughly 10 hour shifts. So if we’re doing a 10 hours day we’re here for 10.5 hours because lunch is unpaid. If we go 8 hours it’s 8.5 with lunch being unpaid. As for breaks we get 20 in the morning and 20 in the afternoon if we go ten you get an additional 10 minutes.
  15. More like Mexico or Flatrock. Since OAC is gonna be electric only unless this thing will be electric which I doubt.

  17. Yes a very big gap, I know that we will start pre production before that but that’s quite the wait.

  19. I’m grateful for this investment all I’m saying is the timetable is still quite a far ways away.
  20. Ya by 2028 though. That when the last model will start production. I see lots of downtime on the horizon. Nautilus is supposed to balance out end of 2nd quarter 23. FWD Edge same time. Then all we will be left with is AWD Edge for the life of the contract maybe beyond. Then 5-16 month retooling timeline! Which I think is a bag of shit. Why so long?
  21. We have not been told the name of any of these supposed 5 top hats that are coming to OAC. They said one is a CUV projected 100000 unit second vehicle 50000 units. The other three so called performance vehicles projection 20000 each.
  22. Yep Kuka is a major robotics company for Ford as is Fanuc from what I see in here. Ya quite the coincidence isn’t it.
  23. We run pretty steady for the most part some nights are bad as equipment is older here. Ya I believe pico was the company that dealt with the set up of the automation. Well once of them at least, also State puts a lot of stuff together here too. Builds cells and stuff.
  24. Body is the best, lots of breakdowns! Not as much people. I’m pretty sure it’s the same there.
