  4. She's almost home! This wait is killer, thanks for keeping me sane cyberdman Just out of curiosity, ETA is delivery to the dealer or just the city?
  5. Congrats!! Very nice combo you've got going on. -mnblah
  6. Hopefully, last time I ask for an update: VIN#: 1FA6P8CF8G5309349 Dealer: F24002 Order#: D001 Again, thank you Cyberdman! Have you kept count of how many people you've helped keep their sanity? -mnblah
  7. Think we've gone a bit off topic... Basically, do you think I should go with a CAI/Tuner or Axle Back muffler, and give me your reasons why? -mnblah
  8. Just looked, not available for 2016 GT
  9. I agree... I think your dealership is just trying to scare you out of modding. If your electric windows stop working that can't say you voided your warranty because of your CAI. Now if you install a turbo and blow your pistons through the hood, there could be a chance they won't fix it :o) Not worried much about the CAI or axle back, tune could prove problematic which is why I would try going with someone reputable, which is hard enough to figure out on it's own. -mnblah
  10. Bump... I believe it might be in transit already but just want to be sure of the date: VIN#: 1FA6P8CF8G5309349 Dealer: F24002 Order#: D001 Thanks cyberdman!
  11. Alright.... I've been busting my head on this one, and figured it couldn't hurt to hear opinions from the Mustang community. I'll hopefully have my GT here soon enough and I'll only have enough left over for one mod. I've narrowed it down to two.... A CAI/Tuner combo (leaning towards the Steeda intake), or a set of axle back mufflers (Borla S-type stingers, catback too expensive). Can't afford anything more at the moment considering how much I'm already spending on the car, so these are the options I feel I'll get the most out of. On the one hand, I'll have that beautiful low level rumble coming from the car, on the other I'll have more power which is never a bad thing. Needless to say I'm torn. Opinions? -mnblah
  12. Bug your dealer... They should have a VIN number by now. I know they're not all the same, but they gave me my VIN in 2 weeks, and the cotus tracking website has been completely useless. -mnblah
  13. Do you mind telling me how long you've had your Valentine? I purchased mine back in 2007, and it turns out their upgrade option for the newer "junk-K fighter" (which is what would avoid this issue), is nothing more than a small discount for a new model. So I'd basically have to buy it all over again, even though my detector's working fine. For now, I figured I could disable the K band detection, but that's not the way I really want to go. -mnblah
  14. You didn't have it long enough, but it's become an extension of my driving by now. Anytime the sound for KA goes off my foot comes off the accelerator, I quickly glance at my speed, my eyes look towards the arrows and then out the windows. There are plenty of blind corners and cops hiding behind trees in my area (I even seen them hide behind a street light with their arm sticking out with the radar gun). I don't really speed on the street, but the highways in South Florida kind of require a Limit+10mph speed or you'll get run over. So needless to say, I'm dying to know the answer to this. At this point, I think I'm waiting for the car to test it, and placing a next day order if it turns out to cause issue. -mnblah
  15. Fortunately and unfortunately I don't have height issues, I'm only 5'5" and my kids seem to be blessed/cursed with my size (damn genetics). They'll fit nicely in the Mustang and snug in the Camaro. It's funny to think back to when I had my 2000 Trans Am, I used to cram my friends in to the back seats (which looked like booster seats) and no one complained. In the end, a good car is a good car, and I have always lived by that "bang for your buck" mentality. The Mustang came out on top for me, and having been in both, I don't regret my decision. -mnblah
  16. Awesome! Thanks a bunch cyberdman! Hope you have a great week! -mnblah
  17. Well... We're both entitled to our opinions. Unfortunately, neither of us get to make that decision. All we can do is add it to the "wish list" and hope that FORD reads these forums.
  18. Maybe on the V6 or EB models, but a GT Premium owner would care... IMHO
  19. Just got the VIN number, so not sure if it's trackable yet. VIN#: 1FA6P8CF8G5309349 Dealer: F24002 Order#: D001 Thanks, -mnblah
  20. I understand that... But this way, performance wise, all Mustangs would be equal out of the dealer. Options should be things like sunroofs, wheels, nav systems, etc.
  21. In all honesty as a previous die hard GM fan, there were two big factors in making my decision to order a Mustang. First MONEY! An extra $5K for 15 hp was not worth it, and while I loved the magnaride, the extra $2K was hard to swallow. The other reason, was my kids and while they might fit in the back of the Camaro now, they won't in 5 years. Overall Ford did a great job with the S550, but there's always room for improvement. Magnaride suspension would be a great addition, but as a standard feature. I wouldn't pay extra for it.
  22. My wife owned one of these in '09, I wouldn't sacrifice the mileage for emissions. When you compared these to the previous VW diesel they still ran cleaner. No one ever complained about the emissions of the older gen diesels. Those older gen diesels used to dirty up the rear bumper with soot and ran the same mileage, the newer gen one I had didn't have that issue.
  23. Just curious if anyone has any insight on the upcoming Ford Incentives, I'm particularly interested on the Mustang ones. When I ordered my Mustang it was at $1000 and now it's at $500, but that deal ends on 4/4. I'm pretty sure I will receive my car after that, so I'm just trying to plan accordingly. Thank in advance. -mnblah
  24. This is not unheard of at a theme park... Epcot has Test Track sponsored by GM, not to mention the mini car show at the end of the ride with the GM gift shop to follow. They should've at least made the little cars look like Mustangs or F150's, I think the kids would love that. -mnblah
  25. Just wanted to introduce myself and say HI! I've got a custom order in for a new Mustang GT Premium, which is a big deal for me considering my history with cars is pretty much all GM made. In my family Ford is an F word , so it's kind of like going to the dark side. Anyone else made the jump? -mnblah
