  1. Two days later...Idaho? Eastern Washington? I know it’s probably still in Montana but wishful thinking...
  2. COTUS says In Trransit again. I hope that means my train is fixed! Delivery date is still blank though. 1FMJK1MT5JEA07762
  3. Can anyone (@Pioneer?) see the status of 1FMJK1MT5JEA07762? I know there was a mechanical failure a few days ago with the railroad but havent heard anything since. Thanks!
  4. Speaking of delivery delays...mine made it from Kentucky to Minot, ND on it's way to Seattle when we hit: "Delay- Conveyance Mechanical Failure (Burlington Northern Railroad )" Fingers crossed the RR gets that fixed! Right now COTUS reverted to "Awaiting Shipment" and the expected delivery date disappeared.
  5. Also interested in which wheels you went with and where you purchased them. Tire Rack wont help me yet with a tire/wheel package as they dont have a new Expy yet. I want to get some 20 Blizzaks but having trouble narrowing down wheels. Thanks.
  6. It hasn't worked all morning and then bam...I post that and now it works. Ha!
  7. COTUS has suddenly stopped working for my VIN (1FMJK1MT5JEA07762). It now says "No Matching Vehicle Found." Grrrrrr... dealer is chalking it up to "system maintenance."
  8. Can you see a production day for 1FMJK1MT5JEA07762?
  9. Update. Was still told 12/18 production week but this morning COTUS was updated to "In Production." Delivery date of 1/21 hasn't changed yet though. Window sticker link is now there, but the sticker is not yet available. Getting closer...
  10. Yes, same build week. But mine is coming all the way out to Seattle so I know we need 3 weeks or so just for transit...
  11. Pleasant surprise as COTUS was updated this morning with an estimated delivery date of 1/21. Good to see some movement...
  12. I know...I know...I get it. My frustration has bubbled up recently as my build date got pushed back two weeks (to the week of 12/18). That was fine at first as there were very few Expy's showing up in my area. Then, all of the sudden, more are coming and according to COTUS (not the most reliable, I know) they were ordered two weeks ago and are already in production! So while my order shows an order date of 7/3 and I still have two weeks to go until production, I found these: 1FMJK2AT1JEA14010: This Expy was ordered on 11/24 and is already in production! 1FMJK2AT7JEA10589: Max Platinum ordered 8/2 and it’s scheduled for delivery on 12/31 1FMJU2AT7JEA14023: Ordered only 2 weeks ago on 11/24 and already in production 1FMJU2ATXJEA14016: 11/24 also. In production. These are all dealers in my 100 mile radius which suddenly have later "order dates" (I know it's not the most reliable) yet are in production. Whereas mine is languishing. Doesn't help that a few weeks ago my dealer excitingly told me that my order was pushed up to a priority "01" and would be pushed ahead of all other orders. When I questioned him on that today he told me it was pushed ahead of all other orders at his dealership but didn't now why all the other local dealers were seeing movement on production. Argh. It is what it is. I've purchased two Teslas over the past 5 years and man...the no dealership model has definitely spoiled me! So nice ordering direct!
  13. If you get it in 6 weeks I officially give up trying to understand the scheduling process! My order was placed 7/3. Production scheduled week of 12/18. I'm still looking at 5-6 weeks until delivery!
  14. Well, I simply don't know what to believe anymore! I've gotten so many conflicting stories from my dealer! I'm assuming I'll get the same info but may as well get a confirmation...here's my VIN: 1FMJK1MT5JEA07762 @Pioneer Are you seeing the week of 12/18? At this point I'm thinking part of my issues is simply how few 2018s are in this part of the country (Pacific Northwest). If I search inventory 100 miles from my zip code there are a whopping ten 2018s in the area...maybe our priority slots are just low on the totem pole. My dealer is saying that mine is the first one they'll get. Definitely realizing now that giving a deposit in July did absolutely nothing to get it here sooner!
  15. Argh...production date moved back from week of 12/4 to week of 12/18. Not sure why...
  16. I know production is likely prioritized based on model, features, etc but can the last digits of the VIN be used as a GENERAL indication of build order? This response was a 12/5 build for a VIN ending in 9896. My VIN ends in 7762. I've heard from dealer "production the week of 12/4" but COTUS is still in "Order Processing." Can I assume, because 9896 is on 12/5, that my 7762 would arguably be built before 12/5? Well, I just blew my theory out of the water. I found a random inventory vehicle on Ford's webpage that ended in 8206 and that one is already In Production. So the answer is no, this does not suggest mine is earlier than 12/5! Man, I'm just hoping to get the vehicle before New Years but it's not looking good! Happy Thanksgiving.
  17. It's less about when YOU ordered and more about where your priority level is at your dealership and when your dealership gets slots on the line. As I said, I "ordered" 7/3 and have a 12/4 production date. I randomly picked this model off of ford.com using a different zip code: 1FMJU1MT3JEA03168 When you look that up in cotus it says it was "ordered" on 8/8 but it is already done production. So from what I've read/seen here your timing is impacted by: Dealer Stock vs Retail Order: Dealer Stock getting built first with a new model Your Priority Level: "Dealers assign priority codes to each order based on the Order Type. Stock orders are assigned priority codes 20-80, retail orders are assigned priority codes 10-19." My original order was a 19. Last week my dealer told me I had been bumped up to Priority 1 (guess he was done with my hounding) which according to everywhere I've read is quite rare and controlled at the region level not the dealer level. From another thread on this board: "My understanding is that only the zone manager can do anything below 10." I assume it's not a coincidence that a week later I got a VIN. Your dealership's allocation I'm no expert so someone may prove me wrong but that's what I've seen.
  18. I gave my local dealer a deposit back in Early July. It's been radio silence with no information since then. Not many Expys coming out to our part of the country (PNW). If I do the 100 mile radius inventory search on ford.com there are a grand total of four 2018s in my area (and none for my dealer). Got a lot of "hopefully we'll know more soon." Supposedly my priority got bumped up last week and just today he emailed me with my VIN and the date. Even though I saw nothing on my end, when I enter the order on cotus it says the order date was 7/3. So I guess it was just a matter of getting a spot in the queue.
  19. Got my VIN today. Week of 12/4 build date. Glad to get the build in before the Holiday break!
  20. Definitely seeing a lot more Awaiting Shipment now. Of the four 2018s in a 100 mile radius of me, two are Awaiting Shipment while two are In Production. One of the Awaiting Shipments has an expected delivery date of 11/12. Will be interesting to monitor to see if that date slips.
  21. What's interesting is that while some of the VINs have Estimated Delivery dates, I have net to find a VIN that has finished production and entered the Awaiting Shipment phase. I'm assuming until we see at least one of those, that there hasn't been an Expedition that has been released yet and those estimated dates may slip. Did you find one that is Awaiting Shipment or In Transit?
  22. I'm starting to trust my dealer less and less. His most recent email said the zone manager told him OKTB would be here soon. So much conflicting info.
  23. After you posted the exact same thing on two of the three Expedition forums I was wondering when it would be posted here. Here it is. Again.
  24. Thanks for all the great info. Do you mind if I ask one more question? My dealer just emailed me this: "Ford just opened up the OK TO BUY to dealer which means the stock orders will start building in the beginning of November for a December delivery. This means the retail orders will start building in December for January delivery." My problem is that it seems to conflict with what you just said? If the OK to Buy just opened, your note suggests Retail then Dealer stock. His note suggests stock then retail. What am I missing here? Sorry for being so dense!
