  1. Mine sounds like a diesel on start up. Complained to Lincoln and they said its within specs!! Glad I'm getting rid of it soon.
  2. I see your forum name and I used to own a C5 1999 coupe - 6 speed - pewter - loaded out. Put non-runflats on it and it drove like it was on clouds.
  3. We have an offer in on a 2021 Escalade, we are sldo still considering the new Denali. Have not ruled out the Range Rover or a BMW X5M. But, if the wife allows me, and the Escalade falls thru, I would really like to take a look at the new Durango Hellcat with 710 horses!!!
  4. Purchased new 2020 Aviator Reserve II and I've had it less than 4 months with the easy decision to trade it due to its issues that my wife I have experienced. Horrible ride with the 22's even with a tire replaced and all 4 Road Force Balanced twice. The ride was hard, harsh and it would quiver even on the smoothest of roads. Engine sounded like a diesel on start up. Driver side floor area was cold. The seats would move all on their own even while driving. Example: You could be in the drivers seat driving down the road and all of a sudden the passenger seat, with no one sitting in it, would start moving back and forth. Drivers seat would do the same. We named the car - "Christine" as in the movie. Took it back to the dealer numerous times and the typical answer on the repair order "could not duplicate customer concerns, vehicle is """within""" specs". Spoke to Lincoln about the issues and they did not seem to care. Once the repair order stated "could not duplicate customer concerns, vehicle is """within""" specs", its all over with Lincoln trying to help out! For $77,000 this was NOT the luxurious vehicle we had hoped for, not even close. But we will miss the 28 speaker Revel audio system. That is amazing!
  5. When I first noticed how cold it was in the drivers side footwell, I checked all the settings including 2nd and 3rd row climate controls. All were on and on High temp setting. Feeling a draft down there when driving in cold weather, so I wear those toe warmer packs to keep my feet and toes warm. Not sure how this is going to play out when it gets below zero!
  6. Its getting into the teens up here in Northern New York and I've experienced the drivers side footwell area very cold. Heat is set on high and the heater controls are all the way on the floor vents but there is also alot of hot air coming from the windshield defroster vents. My lower legs and feet are cold when the temps get colder. My wife says that her legs and feet are toasty warm on her side. There is some hot air blowing on the drivers side but not enough to overcome the cold temps. Has anyone experienced this?
  7. Back to the dealer again next week. Even if it is considered NORMAL or within specs due to tire profile, a luxurious as advertised vehicle should not ride like the one I have.
  8. As per the door pillar label listing the tire pressure specs: 42 rear 38 front I dropped the front and rear tires pressures 3 lbs each and it made no difference.
  9. I just got the Aviator back from the dealer explaining to them the ride complaint. The short answer is after they took it for a ride: Its designed to ride like that due to the low profile tires. The tech also added that he drives a pickup truck and my Aviator rides much better than his truck. IMHO, it should not ride hard with alot of road noise. Hell, my Durango SRT set on Track Mode rode better with zero road or tire noise than the Aviator.
  10. My 2020 Aviator RII with 22’s is going back to the dealer on Monday for hard harsh ride conditions. One tire out of the 4 could not be road force balanced to anywhere near specs. Replaced under warranty. 2 of the tires are under 5 lbs of road force. The other 2 are 6 lbs and 10 lbs. The ride is not luxurious and quiet! The ride is more like....this sucks. I have the dynamic handling package and the ride setting is set on Normal. If you select Excite it just makes the ride harder. I have owned 3 Escalades and 2 Denali’s all with 22’s and their ride was luxurious for sure. My last 3 previous vehicles were 2 Durango SRT’s and a Jeep SRT. Again they rode much better than this Aviator. Hopefully the dealer can figure it out.
  11. The new tire took away the vibrations, but the ride still remains hard and the road noise is irritating. Feeling every crack and uneven road surfaces.
  12. Update: I took it to a buddy of mine that runs a windshield glass shop and at first he thought the windshield had internal imperfections in it as the rest of us. He would not attempt to replace it though since it would be covered under warranty. He looked at it closer and he thought it felt and looked like overspray! He took foamy window cleaner and a new single edge razor blade and lo and behold it cleaned right up! He grabbed some acetone, window cleaner and a few new single edge razor blades went to work. My windshield is perfectly clear now. My Aviator was not around any paint spray since I brought it home so it must have happened before I purchased. What a difference.
  13. I had a an Escalade and Denali bought back by GM a few years ago. What type of issues did you have with your 2 Aviators for Lincoln them to buy them back?
  14. Flashlight works and shows a small area, where as a low sun shining thru lights up the entire windshield. Its almost like a haze, similar to it being sandblasted.
