They did not do it. I set up an appointment somewhere else. This Ford dealer has always been a problem.

I need some help. This is in regard to F350 SRW Safety Recall 21S31. I have read all about it and understand what it is. The axle housing spring seat inspected OK but needs the weld. My local dealer basically said he did not want to deal with it. He does not have a welder. He is allowed a budget to hire outside welding but he will not do that. He sent me to a couple of bigger dealers in Denver but they dont want to schedule the repair. The several that I spoke with did not really want to do it. Denver is at minimum a 250 mile round trip for me. That is 2 trips with 2 vehicles if I have to leave it. I visited a large dealership in MT, but he needed 2 weeks to get parts and I was only there for a week. He would have done it. His service manager seemed to think that my local Ford shop was obligated to hire an outside welder if he does not have one. Any knowledge on this subject ?

Agreed. I will not be using this dealer again. The truck should be here in a week or 2 so its sort of after the fact. But yah, never again.

Agreed. My sales person is simply not able to provide me with any useful information in a timely fashion. I get it here 2 weeks before the sales person. The have never given me one bit of information that I did not already have. That is frustrating. I feel like if you spend $70k on a new vehicle that you are entitled to accurate and complete updates once a week.

May I please have an update ? Any information that you can provide that would help me track it as it moves, like rail car # or whatever would be much appreciated. My sales person is not able to provide any useful information. Or even some guidance as to How I can follow it would be super. If not I understand.
