  1. Finally Got the Text ive been Waiting 7 months for ? they are getting it through PDI asap then ill take delivery.
  2. In a Typical year Order banks Open in March for the next model year. Current model year production usually ends around June/July. There is rumours that they will keep producing 22's later into this year then normal, but at this point nobody really knows.
  3. My ETA was the 14th of December. Still no truck in sight.
  4. Most Special Order trucks are removed from Inventory pretty quickly after they are Delivered. They can appear on dealer sites as soon as they get a vin.
  5. keep in mind a lot of dealers list special order trucks online to draw in more sales. They arent actually availible for sale and youll be told that you can "order one just like it" I dont imagine your going to find much of anything actually sitting on a lot. and be prepared to pay handsomely if you do find something
  6. Yes released means its built and has been "released" for shipment. The plant is closed until the second week of January though, so i would not expect any movement before then.
  7. With Adaptive steering id expect 6 months OTD. The sooner you drop it the sooner ford can schedule your build. Commodity issues are going to be a much larger factor then 7 other trucks.
  8. Yes, Dropping bedliner will certainly help. Its been an issue since day 1. Fifth wheel prep and Adaptive steering are also major hold up points.
  9. You only get the Ford Oval if you get the factory Liner. I also dropped the Factory liner to get mine built and will get Line-x done locally. It gets removed from your build and lowers your MSRP accordingly. Then you can do whatever you want when you get the truck. Many Dealers have connections to local Line-X or Rhino Liner places and can arrange to have it done for you upon delivery, or you can arrange it yourself.
  10. The prep kit is the support and mouting points under the bed. Along with the wiring connections. It is required to use any of the gooseneck or fifth wheel attachments. The gooseneck kit is just the ball and saftey chain points that connect to the fifth wheel prep support.
  11. F450 in particular have had a rough go, there was shortages on the boxes, and there is a current shortage on the standard option wheels. There is also ongoing issues with fifth wheel prep package and spray in bedliner across all superdutys. Im not sure where you are seeing all these late order F450's being built, because the reality is very few are getting built. You are not being lied to, more that the situation is very fluid currently and nobody can predict the future right now. If you are already an 02 then your dealer has done everything in their power to get your truck built, and its at the top of fords priority list to build as soon as they have the parts required.
  12. yes, Certain Engines certainly become more desirable as time goes on, but we are talking 10+ years down the road when they are all "old trucks". The 7.3 was the "one to have". Its a dinosaur now though and tough to find a clean truck with one. A properly built 6.0 is a good motor, and there are lots of people opting for that lately. The 6.4 is certainly an "ugly duckling". The first gen 6.7 are starting to get down into the affordable range for the masses and will be the next 7.3 IMO. The 6.7 has had a very long life for a ford diesel. Im curious how far we are from seeing a new diesel from ford.
  13. I dont think an "ugly duckling" would have any role in prices above and beyond the already hot truck market. The bigger factor will be if ford can sort out their supply chain issues. At the end of the day if someone wants a new truck they will buy a new truck. If they dont like the ford they will probably look at other makes rather then buying something used. 10 years from now when they are both used trucks the story might be different.
  14. ive been thinking the same thing. but i also like to personalize my truck with upgrades and modifications. doing that every year might get tiring.
  15. Saw this and with a slight modification fits here perfectly
  16. Its in Poco. Shipped from Kentucky Nov 19th. Arrived in Poco on the 9th. Sat in Bensenville,IL for awhile. Canadian Pacific.
  17. Mine is also sitting at a rail yard about 60 miles from the dealer. It arrived at the rail yard on December 9th, but the VVR didnt update and showed it sitting in Illinois(2500 miles away) until yesterday. My ETA was today, dealer says its just waiting on a full truck load for it to come this way.(small rural town)
  18. No, This shutdown happens every year and is planned for. Parts allocations don't change. If there's a late shipment that's holding up some trucks then that may arrive, but that doesn't have anything to do with the shutdown. Welcome to Just In Time Manufacturing. No trucks are built or shipped during the shutdown. The employees all have holiday time.
  19. Yay! It might actually arrive on time ? Thank you!
  20. The reality is the plant higher ups keep the internal operations and operating procedures pretty tight lipped. If you cant get a straight answer to your question its probably because nobody here really knows. The parts shortage is over simplified and is a lot more complex then a lot of people or the media make it out to be. Every option right down to the color of the truck can make a difference if the parts are available or not.
  21. with any luck this will be my last bump before Delivery pics ?
  22. @ice-capades has explained it a few times. Basically your priority code tells you when the truck will be built in a perfect world. Unfortunately we are not in a perfect world right now, and i don't think anyone really knows how ford is handling or will handle fleet orders this year. Its certainly possible they could get cancelled. The fleet program was never intended to be used by retail customers.
  23. 1. Probably, We dont know the ratio of stock orders to retail. I imagine a lot of stock orders will get cancelled as the balance out date looms. I imagine all retail orders that are taken will get built. Remember they dont balance out the Superduty until like June. 2. Nope.
