Yes, that's what I've heard as well. Retail orders take priority over stock. However, looking at the backlog of stock and retail orders coming into Ford dealers, I can't say that's truthful at all.

When ordering, always ask them for the order summary sheet, or at least at the bare minimum, the order number. If you get the order number, you can contact Ford yourself and ask them if it's been scheduled or even ordered.

I'm itching to call marketing or my dealer. But I don't want to call in the morning when they haven't possibly scheduled yet. I'll call just before 5pm or tomorrow.

I feel your pain. My F150 was built on April 20th and still don't have it. But people ordering in May already have their trucks. I ordered in December 2020!!!

Just like the F150 bull that's going on right now, there is no rhyme or reason. Ford, I'm sure, is doing what's best for their bottom line and sales numbers, and not for the end customer.

Yeah, I'd hate to be ahead of people who ordered sooner. I have an F-150 on order too, and I ordered in Dec 2020, and I still don't have my truck. But people who ordered in April already have their trucks. Ford scheduling makes no sense and is not fair.

I called in to Ford and gave them my order number and dealer sales code and they said they see the order, but no VIN assigned yet - check back in 1-2 weeks.
