  1. You guys! My truck was built yesterday! ???? Estimated delivery between August 29 and September 4!
  2. Any updates on yours? Still nothing here. ? I check obsessively. ?
  3. So, ours is z plan pricing.... My last pin ever because my grandfather who was a Ford retiree (basically hired right off a ship from Germany at Ellis Island and worked at Ford for about 40 years as an oiler) passed away last August. Our pin will expire before we will get the truck, but the dealer is honoring the z plan pricing because they kind of dropped the ball on the 2021 we tried to order and it wasn't accepted by Ford for whatever reason. ?‍♀️ So I think that makes us technically eligible for a PCO although I'm sure we won't be lucky enough to get one either. ? I'm sure Ford already knows they have me hook, line, and sinker after the number of vehicles we've purchased over the years!
  4. You give me hope! We're near Buffalo and ours is also coming by rail. I saw rail on our sticker and figured it would be a month before we saw it truck. The other day, we got stopped by the slowest moving freight train and were cracking up imagining that's how slow our truck would be moving from Kentucky. The last time we ordered a truck was in 2013 and it shipped super fast by convoy (let's face it.... The whole process was completely painless, less than 2 month from start to finish, rebates galore ?).
  5. That's exciting! Did yours just get built today? Do you know if yours is being shipped rail or convoy, and what state? I'm very nosy because I'm about to burst with excitement that ours is on the schedule this week! ?
  6. No, my tracker has said in production for a week but there's no date for "in production". I was hoping it would be born tomorrow on my daughter's birthday but seems unlikely! ? Does your tracker list a date yet for in production?
  7. So a lot of what road turtle says rings true for us). We were getting a dually no matter what.... It seems like a lot of people cut it very close and are probably even over payload with a heavier pin weight. My husband adamantly believes DRW is the only way to go with a heavier fifth wheel. The cost isn't much different than a 350. Turning radius, bigger brakes, commercial tires are the reasons my husband chose it (OK let's face it, I'll probably drive the thing but I'm a little anxious about learning to tow our fifth wheel ?). We live in NY and according to my agent, there is no issue insuring either under our regular policy so we decided to just go for the gusto (they technically have the same gvwr unless you derate). The 450 jhas some heavier duty parts. We will not be using as a daily driver and plan to garage in winter so it should last forever through any trailer we decide to use in the future. Price them out, and quote your insurance if that's an issue in whatever state you are in.... That might help you decide!
  8. Those look nice. I never even realized they made all these nice precision covers! I must live under a rock! ?
  9. I never even notice they did that until you said something! It does look pretty nice. We decided to go aftermarket (narrowed down to Line-x) in case we ever needed a repair or warranty fix on the liner. We liked the idea of using a local shop to get it done, too. We've never had a spray in liner but we plan to only use our F450 For towing our fifth wheel and love the look. I always worried about how they held up until I did some research... They sound pretty tough! We have an older F250 with a drop in liner that we plan to use for all the other bed abusive stuff. ?
  10. I've never heard of the Carhartt ones before! They look pretty awesome. Are yours the precision fit kind?
  11. Hey all, we have two little kids and will be installing car seats in our F450 crew cab Lariat that we have on order. We want to cover the seats or put down some kind of protection to keep the leather clean and prevent the car seats from ruining the leather. All of our other vehicles just have cloth and are older so we don't use anything in any other vehicle (not to mention they didn't cost anything near what this truck will cost us ?). Has anyone found a great product to protect the seats from kids and their car seats?
  12. I had the exact same thing happen. My grandfather, a Ford retiree, died last August and issued me a z plan shortly before his death. We ordered a truck in Feb thinking we had plenty of time. The order got rejected and we had to reorder a 22, which we will not be receiving before the expiration of the pin. Ford told me they CANNOT extend the pin and its technically not a lock on the pricing unless the dealership agrees to it. I was in tears on the phone with Ford and it was basically "too bad your grandfather died and we have huge commodity issues and cannot get trucks out in a reasonable time....your pin expires and we will not help you". After I told the dealership Ford wouldn't extend it, their management said they will honor the price no matter when the truck comes in. I think they may have screwed up on the initial order. I'm not sure if it's locked in or if they are just doing it to be decent people.
  13. It's standard for them to show up like that. I'm sure someone who works at a dealership can better explain, but I think it's an automatic process that they still pop up in inventory even as a special order.
  14. F450 Lariat scheduled to be built next week.... Just got the window sticker. Ordered late March, confirmed April 2nd in email.
  15. OK I just did this.... I can't wait to come up with a ridiculous story every time a dealership calls me! ?
  16. Oh nice! We have a stone gray F450 on order, but opted for the black interior (dirty kids ?). I've kept second guessing the exterior color (we picked it to match our fifth wheel and to be a different neutral, but I was also toying with the atlas blue) but it sure looks nice so I think we'll love it. Thanks for sharing!
  17. We ordered an F450 Lariat Ultimate no adaptive steering at the end of March and it's scheduled for the week of 8/16.
  18. We ordered an F450 end of March, confirmation email April 2nd, scheduled for production week of August 16th. I have seen several people say their F450s were ordered after ours and scheduled before ours, so maybe you'll be surprised!
  19. New here, but I've been following the discussion awhile. We ordered our F450 Lariat in March after our February 2021 order got rejected (no idea what happened to it, a little unclear from the dealership whether Ford didn't accept it or if the dealer messed up, but water under the bridge). We received a confirmation email in early April. I've been calling regularly to check for a VIN and finally got a VIN last week, called and got a production week of 8/16. Then last night we got an email update from Ford with the same information. It definitely seems they are sending emails if your email was attached to the order!
