  1. I've seen a lot of news articles recently that discuss data collection from big tech. I didn't realize it, but our Super Duty trucks (2020 and newer) have the ability to send data back to the mother ship any time they can access a cell tower, via the modem that is installed in the truck. What data is included? What kind of info are they collecting? Who knows? This seems very intrusive. Anyone else have the same thoughts?
  2. I have these exact mudflaps on my '22 F-250, and they look great! They are a little spendy, but they are solid and pretty easy to install. I recommend them.
  3. Most guys would say black, and that does give a nice contrast. I personally think a different color would look great with white- maybe a blue or red tone, even a forest green- whatever color you happen to like. It would definitely be different. Keep in mind that they can match just about any paint color code you give them. It doesn't have to be a current Super Duty color. It doesn't even need to be a current Ford color, for that matter. If they can get the paint with the code you supply, they can spray that color.
  4. I think the Antimatter Blue might be too dark to tell a difference from straight black. Maybe in the sunlight you could see it? Not sure.
  5. Total was $960, which included a $25 military discount. That was for the Premium liner material, which is mid-level for Line X.
  6. It's a standard bed, and the color match option was an extra $300. It might be more or less for you, depending upon where you live.
  7. I just got the color match Line X on my Atlas Blue F-250. I love how it turned out. It added $300 to the cost, but when we've already dropped $75k on the truck...
  8. I just got the Line X done on my Atlas Blue F-250. I opted for the color match option, and it turned out incredible! Ten times better than I expected. A little pricey, but it looks great.
  9. CodyH, it was just over 3 months from order to delivery. About 2 weeks after I placed the order, I dropped all options that I could do aftermarket (bedliner, 5th wheel hitch, mud flaps, floor liners, wheel well liners). I figured this would help, and I guess it did, because it was scheduled the next week. Today, I got the hitch installed, and they charged me $100 less than quoted. Overall, I've been pretty happy with these guys (communication notwithstanding).
  10. Quigs, did you get your truck yet? I love the Atlas Blue too. My last truck was the Chevy blue (Dark Ocean Blue Metallic), and that was just a hair too dark, but this is a perfect color! Just what I wanted.
  11. CodyH, my truck showed up at Corwin (Nampa, ID for everyone's reference) two days ago, and I picked it up today. The process of signing the paperwork went smoothly. After reading about a few people getting screwed over by unscrupulous dealers, I was a bit concerned. My fears turned out to be unwarranted, because they honored everything they said they would- X-plan pricing, trade-in value, sales tax exemption, military cash, etc. They didn't even try very hard to upsell me on the extended warranty crap- I said "no thanks", and he said "ok". Overall, it was a pleasant experience at the tail end of this. However, the lack of communication during the overall process was highly annoying, to say the least. I don't know if this is the new normal, but it seems like it is heading in that direction, unless you get a sales crew that is willing to go above and beyond, or at least understand what customers value the most- not being kept in the dark. Well that, and not being screwed over end game. Overall, I am happy with Corwin in Nampa, but I wish the communication was better.
  12. Well, early Merry Christmas to me! A little over 3 months from order date to delivery. F-250 Lariat, Ultimate, FX4, and Chrome Packages, 20" wheels, Moon roof, Adaptive Cruise, High Cap Tow Package w/ Ultimate Trailer Tow, 3.55 Electronic Locking Rear Diff, Block heater, Rapid Cabin Heat, Upfitter switches. Had to bring it home in the rain and get it all dirty on our first trip together, but that's fine by me! I think I've walked out to the garage at least 15 times since I got it home, just to make sure it wasn't a dream...
  13. IDVandal, did you buy in Idaho? I placed my order with Corwin Ford in Nampa, and my experience has been about like yours. Zero communication from the dealership, even when I send them emails or texts. I actually had to drive down to the dealership to get them to acknowledge a couple of changes I wanted to make to my order. Pretty frustrating that they treat customers this way. This is my first Ford, after 30 years of Chevys. Given the overall experience, it might be my last.
  14. Thanks for the answer, akirby. That makes sense that some dealers won't accept X-plan, if they have to sacrifice that profit. Especially in these strange times of buying/selling vehicles.
  15. Over on the FTE forums, a guy posted this pic of his sticker, and he stated that it DID show the correct X-plan pricing. Another guy chimed in and said his sticker showed it also. I guess it depends upon whether or not the dealer codes it as an X-plan order or regular.
  16. Hey all, just a general question about the X-plan. Who eats the difference between MSRP price and X-plan price- the dealership or Ford? It would make sense to me that Ford would absorb that cost difference, since the program is a deal between certain companies/organizations and Ford Corporate. And if that is true, why would any dealership refuse to honor X-plan pricing, if it doesn't affect their bottom line? I'm curious about this because the window sticker just became available for my truck, and it does not include X-plan pricing (which I've seen elsewhere on other forums). I'm not sure if I should be worried about this or not.
  17. For the people who placed their orders prior to July 2021 and still have not been scheduled: have your orders been resubmitted through the COVP process? As I understand it, that process was implemented sometime in June to prevent dealers from placing bogus "customer special orders", just to get stock for their lots. I don't know if this makes any difference or not, but if the orders were not redone within the new system or at least tagged in the new system, it stands to reason that the Ford scheduling process wouldn't even be looking at those orders. Just a theory, but it might explain why those orders that were placed 4-6 months ago are still not scheduled. Might be worth a chat with your dealer rep.
  18. Well Gents, I got the Golden Ticket email today. For those who are interested, here is my timeline: 9/21- Order placed 10/05- dropped all add-ons that were available aftermarket (Bed liner, 5th wheel prep, wheel well liners, mud flaps, extended running boards), because of what I read on this forum. 10/14- received the "Scheduled For Production" email 11/08- scheduled build week F-250 Lariat, Ultimate Package, FX4 Package, Chrome Package, 20" wheels, Moon roof, Adaptive Cruise, High Capacity Tow Package w/ Ultimate Trailer Tow Camera System, 3.55 Electronic Locking Rear Diff, Block heater, Rapid Cabin Heat, Upfitter switches. I hope the date holds. Time will tell, I guess. But I'm feeling pretty good right now! Or maybe it is the Cap'n and cokes...
  19. I'm with you on the looks of the halogen housings. I really don't care for the new LED setup- those LED bracket lights just look weird to me. I think I will go the LED replacement route.
