  1. FWIW, Ford site tracker just worked for me but the window sticker did not generate. The MachE site did generate the WS however.
  2. Unless you are extremely lucky, you and most everyone else waiting on their truck is "overly optimistic."
  3. I'm on the same boat with Fred, but I contacted my dealer this morning asking for a copy of the VVR (Vehicle Visibility Report, if I understand correctly). They said they would "check on it" but I haven't heard anything back yet. Can't help but think my dealer doesn't care to help (or perhaps VVR isn't working for the dealers either. Maybe someone knows.).
  4. Read many discussions on f150forum.com that suggest this rationale.
  5. Exactly the same here. So I have asked my dealer for a copy of his current VVR info. Will see how that goes.
  6. The one I installed in my F-150 (and hope to re-install in my F-250 when delivered) only took half of the console area. Looks like the factory version takes all the space.
  7. Would all this indicate that mine is actually built or still just in progress?
  8. Better link: https://www.motorcraftservice.com/AsBuilt
  9. Anybody know what it means relating to my F-250 build in progress? 29 pages of BCE Modules ...
  10. Either way they will have the same amount of incomplete trucks. Theoretically they could have older, incomplete trucks languishing forever. But then having to continually go back to complete trucks left incomplete rather than completing current ones would be more costly. I am concerned that my truck is getting caught up in this predicament.
  11. Parts scheduled to arrive but didn't? Just-in-time inventory rearing its ugly head?

... but much experience on special interest forums since, well, the invention of special interest forums. Just disposed of an '18 F-150 after getting a build week on a F-250. Looks like it may not have been built though. Really can't tell as the Ford tracker has been down since late in the week of 12/6. The first time I have been without a Ford truck since 1992. I am getting antsy.
  13. Whatever % tint you go with, get ceramic. Much better at heat and UV rejection. (FWIW, I had 40% on front windows, 70% on rear and back privacy glass of my '18 F-150. Yeah, fronts were lighter than rears but had no visibility problems. Function over form.)
  14. Dual purpose: tow the FJ Cruiser to distant Toyota cult events and recover the FJ Cruiser after the SHTF.
  15. No idea of who does factory install but while DIY is a 1/5 difficulty at best, for the first time install expect to spend a minimum of one hour. Been there.
