They would probably be happy that I walked away from the order and could resale at MSRP or Above. If I did walk away and order from an honest dealer.... I still pay the $1545 and wait another 5 months.

Update: I forwarded both PDF's showing price protection on Friday. (My signed order was on 8/19) Got an instant reply from salesman that he was going to forward notices to sales manager review. Then Monday I recived a text from my salesman that my truck was out of inspection but their is nothing he can do on the price. He says they have to go off the invoice sent to them when built. He says the Sales Manager has tried contacting their Ford rep for clarification but has not heard back. Last thing I was told: "As of right now we have to use the x-plan number shown unless ford tell him (sales manager) different. He has not got any answers from Ford." The difference in price is exactly the 2 mark up's that Ford had from the time that I signed for retail order. Any ideas would be great. Bought some time with level kit and spray in bed liner.

Thanks for providing the PDF. I believe this will help. I believe this has been talked about before. I thought I remember one of the dealers on this board saying that something must be filed by the front office. Also stating that most salesman will not know this is an option because it is handled outside of the sales dept. Sounds like any further info would be great, I am sure there are many of us in this position. Thanks Again for the PDF.

Can anyone provide me the actual name of the forms needed to file for price protection. MSRP has increased $1500 over what it was at the time of ordering. Dealer says they cant change it because they have to go off the invoice price for X-plan. Because I went with X-Plan am I not able to receive price protection? Or what is the name of the form needed to be filed. My truck has been delivered to dealer but will not be through inspection until next week.

I've had 5 different build dates. Some have been updated before the actual date came. Others came and went with no update. I think my truck was built this week.

Does engine type have any correlation? Are these all gassers or all diesels?

I went with the largest truck dealer in our region. Ordered on 8/20. I am now on my 5th build date and still no Window sticker. So my experience is that it really has more to do with your build and Ford parts than it does your dealership. Good Luck with the wait.
