F450? good luck amigo. I just picked up a 23 KR 450 that a cx backed out on and drove to WY to get it. Ford didn’t pick up my 2023 order… chances of my 2024 King Ranch 450 being built are slim to none and slim left town I feel. if Ford can pull it’s head out of its rear end and build my truck I’ll trade the 2023 slick for the 24. in this market you won’t see depreciation you are concerned about I feel. I got more on trade for the 23 450 XLT I just traded than I paid with 7k miles.

Well… The mythical, elusive KR 450 is on its way home. only 16 more hours to go…

This one is two tone so it must be standard now. Use to have to pay 1600 and lose painted bumpers if you wanted it I thought. I had to order mine without as I had the black/agate. I prefer the look?

I just got back from Montana hauling a 17k lb fiver. I used a 2023 450 and the temps actually surprised me. Normal temps was about 200 or a bit more on coolant, oil and transmission. I did hit 230 on oil, 218 on transmission and 220 on coolant but then the big LOUD fan kicks on and the temps drop like a rock. There was a stretch of about 15 miles my transmission didn’t go below 212.

That’s awesome! I read Ford won’t price protect the 23 hold overs so I was fortunate that a retired couple decided to stay with their 2022…. Ergo I get to buy their 2023 KR 450. I paid more than X plan for this but less than sticker as they gave me a ridiculous trade amount for the 2023 XLT 450. they are hauling it to Cheyenne to get the bed sprayed and I will be picking it up next Friday. 2300 mile rd trip but oh well. The dealership has been fantastic to work with and it will be good to meet them and thank them for the painless and easy transaction.

Well I guess a blind squirrel finds an acorn every now and then. I found a KR 450 1379 miles away that someone backed out on. Driving up next week to trade the 2023 XLT in on it. im still buying the 2024 I had reordered from my non produced 2023 order. I should make a pretty penny on selling the low mileage 2023 one.

My XLT 450 I bought two weeks ago cut off abruptly a few times at first. I just made a 2100 mile run back south and I didn’t have an issue with the high flow diesel pumps.

I just said to heck with it and bought a solid white 2023 F450 XLT today. I got it 1% under invoice so I’ll make out fine on trade when (IF ??) my 2024 KR is built. ‘This truck is way more truck than my 2011 450. It’s a nice ride even in the XLT lol. I just couldn’t wait another year for Ford to Jack around and show their incompetence once again.

Yes, I ordered a 24 KR 450 last week since my 2023 order never scheduled. I’m not expecting Ford to deliver though.

Wow Two years? It’s unfortunate but the Granger rep just shared (on another forum) that 3% of 450s will be built in 24 due to constraints. That includes all trim levels. I have reordered a 24 but I’m pretty much done at this juncture. if you think you will get a KR or higher in 2024 you might want to rethink that.

I’m keeping my paid for KR as well. I’m just not giving that profit to Ford who can’t build a truck to the specs I ordered. I’ll then use that money to offset the price increase ford will pass on to me since I had to wait another year for a truck that is currently vaporware. ETA: and yes I know I’m taking the dealers profit as ford is getting their money regardless. this is all the 2023 450s listed as available today on cars.com. Ford Super Duty production is a Greek tragedy or a Confederacy of Dunces. I haven’t quite nailed down which.

I agree with the multi contour seat but… Man, y’all are crazy to give that truck to the dealer to sell. I’ll roll up with my gooseneck trailer. I’m buying mine for .4% under invoice at roughly 87k and putting it for sale at 130k. Last week there were only 2. Yes TWO KR 450s available nationwide. That was what the dealership had them marked up to. if I waited this long, I’m getting paid fellas.

You don’t think that executive leadership is ultimately responsible for identifying and resolving challenges such as these? I am slightly perplexed at the fairly vigorous defense of Ford. I am as loyal a Ford guy as anyone. I’ve owned 8 SD trucks since 99. In my industry, we are accountable to patients and shareholders alike. We are fast moving and solution driven. The world has moved on from the pandemic and it seems as if Ford hasn’t.

I apologize that you misunderstood my comment. I did not type that it was Farley’s responsibility to schedule my build. You eloquently stated “it's just not possible with the continuing commodity and plant constraints in addition to the supply chain issues.” Are these not the challenges that leadership would plan to account for and overcome. If one were to tell me it’s not the CEOs role to envision challenges such as these and develop plans and a team that will be successful and overcome these opportunities, then I am at a loss as to how further discourse is warranted.

Lol Ford sent me ANOTHER apology email last night. 8 months after ordering.. Ford had lost its way and needs new leadership.

I got the same email. Unlike most I knew it was another blah blah blah from Ford. I don’t have any expectations of receiving what I ordered and placed a down payment on. I bet when they refund my deposit due to non delivery they won’t reimburse me for interest I’ve lost ? These knuckleheads have really lost me. This would have been my 10th super duty.

Saw this the other day ETA: really wish I had ordered the 2022 instead of waiting for the 2023. It’s too soft looking on the front. I guess I could pay 115k for a 22 sitting on a lot?

The 16-17 mpg, was it hand calculated or via the computer? I ask as I’ve got a 23 KR 450 ordered and that would be awesome. My 2011 450 gets 13 unloaded if I keep my foot out of it.
