  5. I was just hoping that you all did not drink the "Ford for life" Kool Aid.... Cause if you still believe that during these times......
  6. I was wondering if any of you are (and I was one of you 2 years ago) putting any pressure on your local/regional/international leadership on getting FORD to to get them to open up the buyouts and get this process moving ....like GM....is doing for Dephi. Flowback ring a bell? Some of my old chaps tell me it does not exist anymore. GM has 20,000 buyouts supposedly already filled....FORD...I hear 5,000. :banmolest: When the 07' negotiations are over I'm not sure I would want to be on the :titanic: ....with the questionable GEN Pool and preferential placement going to those out of work....like Wixom ee's. Just a thought.....
  7. What about Monroe? They were there....I believe? Those were the Top Overall Teams....out of probably 20-25 teams.
  8. Just an FYI....all the plants were only able to send 10. Keep up the good work....Did you stay @ the Holiday Inn? Our Plant only competed in 3 events....took 5th or 6th in Rope Rescue Got to the 1/4 finals in Waterball and lost to Maumee. And finished in the middle of the pack in Medical. As these plants close...we are losing alot of good members...hopefully they can land @ another facility!

  11. :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah: If they are all as annoying as you are becoming.....then I can see why they get kicked in the taters every once and a while...... Geez..... all right your gay...so what!!!! You Will Absolutely Not Believe What Ford Has Done Now Ford's magazine sponsorship now includes promotion of repugnant activity When Ford responds to those who write concerning their promotion of homosexual marriage, the response they get from Ford's Customer Relationship Center says their support "is a strong commitment we intend to carry forward with no exception." For Ford, that support also includes homosexual polygamy. To show those supporting traditional marriage they mean business, Ford sponsored the June 6 issue of the homosexual publication The Advocate. The cover reads: "Polygamy & Gay Men. Dirty laundry or sexual freedom? How gay men handle multiple partners." The article promotes homosexual polygamy. Ford sponsored the publication with a full page back cover advertising Ford Motor company product Volvo and a full page ad for all Ford brands with the line: "Ford Motor Company. Standing strong with America's families and communities." Ford's support for the magazine's promotion of homosexual polygamy leaves no doubt that Ford means to continue pushing the homosexual agenda, even including homosexual polygamy. To see the front cover, the contents page and the ads for Ford and Volvo, click here. I must warn you, it will be offensive to many. The pages show the contents of the magazine which Ford helped sponsor with two full-page ads, but I felt we must include the proof. If you don't want to see it, please don't click the link. At their stockholders meeting on May 11, Ford voted 95% of the ballots cast to continue their support of the homosexual agenda rather than be neutral in the cultural battle. The boycott is working. The value of Ford stock has gone down 13% since the boycott began, while sales continue to drop.
  12. It was a nice few days of friendly competition..... I for one was suprised FORD is still spending the $$$$ for this competition. But, I am glad they are... Seen alot of old friends and wish everyone luck during these uncertain times.....
  13. Guy From STAP.....I could not agree more.... Ford is :kissass: of these groups way to much....Guess they care more about PC stuff than making products that are exciting and quality built. Next they will give thousands of dollars to the FBADG Ford Bondage and Dominatrix Groups.....cause they have rights too..... :whipped: I grew tired of Out Here and his a long time ago.....His group has an evil agenda that they are trying to push on the rest of us.....
  14. Virginia governor: Ford firm on Norfolk plant's closingStephanie Stoughton / AP Business Writer RICHMOND, Va. -- After meeting Friday with Ford Motor Co. executives, Gov. Timothy M. Kaine held out little hope that the nation's No. 2 automaker would retain its Norfolk plant or put off its closing. "They made it plain that they are not in the position to reconsider their decision," Kaine said upon his return to Virginia from Ford's headquarters in Dearborn, Mich. With Ford's sentiments unwavering, Kaine said state officials now are turning their attention to the 2,400 workers at the F-150 truck-assembly plant. They may need training and other assistance to re-enter the work force once the plant closes in 2008. But Kaine noted that officials have two years to prepare for the closing, an edge that some other communities will not have as Ford shutters plants across the country. Ford's announcements have come amid disappointing U.S. sales. And higher gas prices may spell even more trouble for Ford, which is taking a hit on truck and SUV sales. Considering the company's financial troubles, some industry observers had said that Ford would be unlikely to remain in Virginia. "With such a raft of plants to close, once you're on that list, I think it's very difficult to get off," said Bernard Swiecki, project manager for the nonprofit Center for Automotive Research in Ann Arbor, Mich. Kaine traveled to Michigan with Norfolk Mayor Paul D. Fraim and other state and local officials. They met with several Ford representatives, including Anne Stevens, chief operating officer of Ford's The Americas group. The governor would not discuss any economic incentives that might have been offered. But given Ford's competitive prospects, business professor Peter Morici believes Virginia would not have fared well by offering a large package. "This would be like investing in kerosene lamps in 1910," said Morici, of the University of Maryland's business school. State officials have said they do not hand out incentives without a thorough analysis of how Virginia would benefit in terms of jobs and tax revenue. Last month, Ford announced it would close the F-150 plant in Norfolk. The automaker also plans to close plants in Wixom, Mich.; St. Paul, Minn.; St. Louis; Atlanta; Batavia, Ohio; and Windsor, Ontario. All would be shuttered by the end of 2008. Norfolk officials are particularly concerned because Ford paid top manufacturing wages -- an average of $65,000 a year with overtime. Those wages are about twice the regional average and at the high end of the manufacturing pay scale. Some economists believe the large Hampton Roads economy will not be significantly impacted by the loss of 2,400 jobs. Others warn, however, that the departure of a high-paying employer will be felt and will ripple through affiliated auto-parts facilities. Military cutbacks also could pose a threat, magnifying the impact of the plant shutdown.
  15. we @ WISA are in a little different situation...as we are attached to WAP via a 1/2 mile long tunnel were bodies go over to assembly. We stamp parts for WAP, MTP, KC, Jaguar and used to do Excursion parts..... Since we are joined @ the hip with WAP...we are hearing they can not go 'flex" because the entire roof of WAP is to low???? Again that is a rumor....but I do agree....Stamping is gonna be part of the downsizing....we could get axed either way...We have been hearing Walton hills and Maumee....again...pure speculation. Another hint is our chairman bailed for solid house before easter....maybe he knows something????
  16. May 4, 2006 Ford Headed Toward Bankruptcy, But Support Of Homosexual Groups Continue Ford Motor Company continues to give money to help finance homosexual organizations pushing homosexual marriage. Chairman Bill Ford evidently is willing to take Ford into bankruptcy in order to continue support of homosexual groups and homosexual marriage. Ford's sales dropped 5% in March and 7% in April. Ford's stock has dropped more than 14% since the boycott began to the lowest price in nearly 20 years. Some feel the stock, now at $6.78, will be at $3 in a matter of months and are bailing out now rather than lose more money on Ford stock. Ford is a "Platinum Sponsor" of the Human Rights Campaign, a leading advocate of homosexual marriage. In order to be a "Platinum Sponsor" of HRC, Ford had to give HRC $150,000. Other homosexual organizations getting financial support from Ford include GLAAD, Michigan Pride, Triangle Foundation, GLSEN, Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund, and PFLAG to name only a few. In addition, Ford is a corporate sponsor of the 2006 GLAAD Media Awards in which homosexual groups honor companies which have helped them promote their agenda. While Ford helps groups promoting the homosexual lifestyle, Ford refuses to give to groups on the other side of the issue. Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays & Gays (PFOX), an organization which helps those who want to come out of the homosexual lifestyle, applied for a grant from Ford. Ford refused to donate to PFOX. Ford dealer Dan Janssen told the Detroit News that the boycott was being felt. "It's something that's just kind of snowballing," Janssen said, adding that it is starting to hurt business. For more information on the boycott, visit BoycottFord.com. Take Action Sign the Boycott Ford Pledge if you haven't already done so. Next, forward this email to a Ford dealer near you. Click here (then click on the logo) to find email addresses of Ford dealers near you. It is very important that Ford know of your participation in the boycott. If you haven't called your dealer, please do so. Please be polite. Finally, forward this to your friends and family so they can be aware of Ford's support of homosexual marriage. Please click here to sign the Boycott Ford Pledge This good news is due to the action taken by people like you. We are going to be successful because of your participation and support.
