630land
Ford is moving away form boring and safe. I will take a so called "boring" 500 over the cramped, cheap looking, really a mid sized, outdated W body Impala. The FWD Impala is dying off in a few years anyway. Watchdevil
Ford is moving away form boring and safe. I will take a so called "boring" 500 over the cramped, cheap looking, really a mid sized, outdated W body Impala. The FWD Impala is dying off in a few years anyway. Ford has not shown us anything yet except some show cars and some poor facelifts... At least GM saw fit to restyle the Impala to be competitive until it's RWD replacement comes out. The FWD Impala is dying off in two years and will be replaced with a world class RWD version while Ford will still be dicking around showing us show cars The Taurus just languished until it became a joke. The Impala styling is now more in line with Opel and Holden and the quality is certainly measurably up from the previous design. Despite the dated W-platform, it is still a decent plaform for it's intended purpose and I don't have a problem with it. It doesn't matter how well the platform of the Five Hundred is engineered if all the customer sees is a dowdy old boring as fuck Passat looking Ford. I do love the Fusion. That, the MKZ and the Mustang is the only cars Ford has going for them. I had the displeasure of riding in a co-workers Focus the other day. That car is a piece of crap. And so is my roomate's Escort ZX2. Edited January 31, 2007 by Watchdevil
g48150
The Impala is more handsome to me and the quality is certainly up from the previous design. You used handsome and quality in the same sentence while describing a GM product!
