pcsario
In case "sponsored" isn't clear enough, here's a better pair of words to use -- "paid off." Well, Car & Driver ain't the only Hachette mag involved in this little bit of intellectual reacharound action, now it includes the other ampersand-in-the-title car porn book. That's right, Road & Track was a part of the game as well, running their own little LA-based challenge, and with predictable results. Those ads are hilarious, I love the part where Ford is bold enough to try to mislead the audience into thinking the Fusion is the most powerful car...lol
2005Explorer
I'd like to see the same kind of challenge done with the new Taurus this summer. They should put a Taurus AWD up against the Impala and Avalon.

jpd80
Those ads are hilarious, I love the part where Ford is bold enough to try to mislead the audience into thinking the Fusion is the most powerful car...lol That's advertising for you. Assumed validation by saying Car and Track and again They used 400 car enthuiasts? They whipped it in there so quick it actually sounds valid. Now they're getting people into the dealerships, they face their next hurdle. Sales teams who actually know their product and can treat people properly. I'd like to see the same kind of challenge done with the new Taurus this summer. They should put a Taurus AWD up against the Impala and Avalon. Absoutely correct, it's about time Ford started piling pressure back on it's competitors. Better to come out swinging than collapse under defensive ads with self doubt and critisim. This time use real 500/Taurus owners advertising the new Taurus. Edited March 3, 2007 by jpd80
