Ford's European division reported that it sold 149,200 vehicles in July, an 11% increase compared with the same month last year. Ford's European market share also increased from a year ago, up 0.6% to 8.7%.

Ford's best selling model in July was the Focus, which sold 43,000 examples, followed by the Fiesta which moved 27,500 units, an increase in itself of 3,500 over last July. Several of Ford's other European vehicles also experienced sales growth according to The Detroit News.

Wow, what a concept: Aim above mediocrity, be either class leading or truly competitive, and the customers will take you seriously, buy your products, and increase your marketshare.

No need for monthly spins and excuses from Pipas and Co.

That's great. My buddy was in Portugal last year and rented the focus for a month. He loved it. He says it feels a lot better than NA focus.
