ZanatWork Posted October 8, 2007 Share Posted October 8, 2007 The sprinkling of ads seen about FoMoCo products is encouraging, except for a couple of models: The Taurus and the Fusion. Ford's mainstream sedans are borderline unadvertised right now. The Taurus has the fogettable "Father and Son" ad, while the Fusion gets an occasional blurb in the "swap my ride" ads...but that ain't doin' it. The Taurus and the Taurus X NEED to be advertised heavily, very heavily...these cars are finally good enough to challenge anything in their classes, but no one knows and the sales certianly show that much. The Fusion has all but disappeared from the ad world...and it's not enough of a household name to assume people just know it. Come ON Ford...don't make the D3 mistake twice.... I dont see many Fusion ads anymore. I have begun to see the Taurus featured on the 'Swap My Ride' ads, though. I hope that it not what Ford considers an 'ad blitz' though, they need to do better than that. I don't think I've ever seen a Taurus X ad either.
