TOKYO — Mazda Motor Corp. has raised its full-year sales forecast for North America. It now expects to sell 407,000 vehicles in the United States, Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico in the fiscal year that ends March 31. That would be 27,000 more than the previous year.

Consolidated operating profit rose a modest 1.5 percent to 40.8 billion ($342.9 million) in the second fiscal quarter, which ended Sept. 30, compared with the same quarter of the previous fiscal year.

MAzda needs to up their production or build new factories. Too many shortages, and now with even higher demand, the shortfalls are going to be worse.
