The '09 SEL I have on order will be my first new Ford, and only my second Ford ever. (The first was a beat up, used '72 Maverick (with the 302) that I bought as my first car when I was 15.) I've driven mainly GM all my life. Add me to the group that likes the look of the new Focus. Yes, I decided to get into something good on gas, but I'm not skimping on the toys on my loaded SEL. I'm not a kid (42), and at my age I like my creature comforts. (I ordered an '09 because I couldn't find any '08s they way I wanted them.) You'll love your Focus. I bought one last week and love it! The sync is awesome, the stereo rocks, the car looks good with the windows tinted. I bought it to fart around town in, but it is actually really fun to drive. It is very quiet as well. The car enthusiasts who said "look what we get, fake badges and no turbo, it will bomb", don't really know what sells, and don't really buy brand new.
