ELlover
I just got a call from my Mom who works at a dealership out here in Southern California and some guy from Ford is out here showing off the Flex to the local dealers. She got to sit in it and play with all the features. She is 6'3 and sat in the second row and with the seat all the way back she still had tons of leg room!!! She said the nav system is awesome new features and she said the sound was great. The Vista sunroof was nice with the screen in place. She said it was bigger than what she expected and much more comfortable than the Edge.

nilkilla
they have offered a training opputunity to dealers for free, then also have a pay for option open to the public May 7, 2008 To: Select Flex Dealerships Subject: EFC0200592DC 2009 Ford Flex In-dealership Training and Consumer Event The Opportunity: The all new 2009 Ford Flex will begin arriving in dealer showrooms this summer. With styling that dares to be different, a truly first-class interior with cutting edge technologies, car-like ride and handling with the capability and cargo capacity of an SUV, the Ford Flex re-defines the full-size crossover segment – it has no head-to-head competition To contribute to the successful launch of Flex, Ford is offering selected Ford dealers (at no charge) an interactive, in-dealership training experience for Sales Consultants and Sales Managers. In addition, Ford will provide the trainer and a Flex vehicle so dealers will have the ability to preview this outstanding vehicle to customers with an evening dealer-paid consumer event. Tier III Co-op Funds may be used to offset the cost of the event. Because Ford is offering this training to only a select number of dealers, we strongly recommend dealers host a consumer event. Not only will this event enable your Sales Consultants to use their training immediately, you will have the ability to host a "Sneak Peak" for current and potential customers, local influential's and other important members of your community – create a Buzz about Flex and take some orders! Important Note: Although Ford is providing the trainer and the Flex vehicle for the duration of the consumer event, the cost of the consumer event is dealer-paid and eligible for reimbursement through Tier III co-op funds. Training/Dealer Meeting Overview The Flex Brand Team and Retailer Education & Training are pleased to offer your Sales Consultants and Sales Managers, an in-dealership training event to help you better prepare your staff to sell the all-new Flex. This in-dealership event will build on all of the excellent Retailer Education & Training materials you are familiar with (e.g. Frontline magazine, eSourceBook, Web-based Training). Note: Sales Consultants & Managers must complete the Flex Web-based Training (available May 6th) and study the product training materials in advance of the in-dealership training day. One trainer will be on-site to conduct the training along with one Flex vehicle. Training will focus on: Flex "Why Buys" Key competitors Use and demonstration of new technologies (such as Sirius Travel Link) Role-play/practice activities Conversation-starters with customers

mkizlvr
when will they be arriving in june or july Edited May 17, 2008 by mkizlvr
nilkilla
when will they be arriving in june or july depends on quality holds. I have an SE in the order banks that looks like it will be here in june, but considering Ford's strictness on their new model's initial quality(thank goodness), there could easily be a 4-6 week delay. suv_guy_19
we've waited long enough for this vehicle already. FCOL this thing should be in showrooms already! We've always know it would be summer 2009. I don't want them to rush it and get it wrong, I want them to take their time and get it right.
