Proved: There is no climate crisis

Recommended Posts

You can't talk common sense to religious nut any more than you can to a global warming convert. Man-made global warming is a lie. Why can't you see that? You are just as hooked on global the warming preachings as the Bible thumper is on Adam and Eve and Noah's Ark. You are very comical from my point of view.

Pollution does not affect the global climate. We have been cleaning up pollution for several decades now. Pollution is less now than it was before. This global warming nonsense is something else. There is no connection between the so-called CO2 greenhouse effect and pollution. All of this scare-mongering is designed to gain more government control, leading to socialism or Communism.

Now that's just Hyperbole!

It is so hot here in MN that we now have Alligators taking over the rivers, swamps, and marshes. The ones that have not been baked dry that is. Plus, its a fact that the MN Polar Bear is now extinct! Here that? Extinct!!!

Home Audit: A Look into the Future

The bill states every home owner will receive an energy audit. What is a home energy audit? It is an intrusive visit made by the bureaucrats at the Home Energy Team or a similar group. They will examine and report the way you live your life directly to RESNET (Residential Energy Services Network) . Light fixtures, socket types, spas, hot tubs, windows, appliances, walls and roofs will all be under review. Energy tests will be conducted throughout your house. At the end of the visit you will receive a report and a rating. The report will focus on the changes you need to make and the rating is called a HERS rating (Home Energy Rating System). RESNET will perform the audits through authorized contractors. RESNET has adopted the Mortgage Industry National Home Energy Rating Standards. The standards set the national procedures for home energy ratings.

According to RESNET, an audit consists of:

Comprehensive Home Energy Audit - A level of the RESNET Home Energy Audit process defined by this standard to include the evaluation, diagnosis and proposed treatment of an existing home. The Comprehensive Home Energy Audit may be based on a Home Performance Assessment (“Comprehensive Home Performance Energy Audit”) or Home Energy Rating (“Comprehensive HERS Audit”), in accordance with the criteria established by this Standard. A homeowner may elect to go through this process with or without a prior Home Energy Survey or Diagnostic Home Energy Survey.

Here is an in-depth breakdown of the audit:

704.1.2.3 The Home Energy Survey Professional shall request copies of utility bills or

written permission to obtain the energy use information from the utility company, and use

them to produce an estimate of generalized end-uses (base, heating, and cooling).

704.1.2.5. Minimum Procedures for an In-Home Energy Survey:

704.1.2.5.1.1 R-values of wall/ceiling/floor insulation

704.1.2.5.1.2 Square footage and approximate age of home

704.1.2.5.1.3 Type of windows: glazing type(s) and frame material(s)

704.1.2.5.1.4 Type, model number, and location of heating/cooling system(s)

704.1.2.5.1.5 Type of ductwork, location and R-value of duct insulation, and any

indications of previous duct sealing

704.1.2.5.1.6 Type of foundation is crawl, basement, or slab

704.1.2.5.1.7 Checklist of common air-leakage sites indicating likely opportunities

for leakage reduction

704.1.2.5.1.8 Estimated age and efficiency of major appliances such as

dishwashers, refrigerators, freezers, washing machines and dryers

704.1.2.5.1.9 Number and type of hardwired light fixtures and screw-in bulbs in

portable lamps suitable for energy efficient re-lamping

704.1.2.5.1.10 Visual indications of condensation

704.1.2.5.1.11 Presence and location of exhaust fans, and determination of whether

they are vented outdoors

704.1.2.5.1.12 Number and type of water fixtures (e.g. faucets, showerheads)

704.1.2.5.1.13 Presence and type(s) of combustion equipment; identification of

visually identifiable evidence of flame rollout, blocked chimney, and corroded or

missing vent connector.

There is no doubt homes need to be more efficient, however, this audit will drain the pockets of the unlucky people whose houses are older and/or cheaply made due to builder irresponsibility. Let’s say your builder used cheap windows, very little insulation or a high-water toilet, the cost of those upgrades will be in the thousands of dollars. By making the recommended changes, you will receive a tax credit for improvements made under the energy star program. Please note, most rebates are 30% of cost, maximum $1500. Good luck if your central air is deemed unacceptable. After the upgrades are completed, you must have the auditors back out to your property for a final inspection. Early reports of denying audits carry a misdemeanor charge and a $2000 fine for each count. The more you deny, the more you pay.

As mentioned before, we do need clean energy, less fossil fuel, more efficient homes and cars, but not this way. Make no mistake, we do have real environmental crises; drugs in the water, cloning, species extinction, genocide and genetically modified food are all very real. Let’s focus on those, before you focus on the kind of faucet I have in the bathroom. Recycle, walk, ride a bike from time-to-time, open your windows, tune-up your car and plant a garden, but please, stay out of my house!

Ok. I know when I am wrong. How much more tax should I pay to cool down the earth? First, explain to me how paying more tax will accomplish this. I don't think that there is enough human resources on the planet to change the global temperature by one degree, Fahrenheit or Celcius. The sun causes temperature change, and the sun has a volume one million times that of the earth. The sun could burn through all of the cash on earth in a micro-second.

So let me get this straight.

People from the government are going to force their way into my perfectly healthy house (I am assuming that resisting them will be illegal), inspect it and them hand me a list of expensive improvements I must make or go to jail?

Hope and Change.

The only solace for me is that many BO supporters will suffer the same punishment.

Also if you go to sell your home,it will need to have a rating high enough for you to be allowed to sell it.

If not,you will have to update your home to the standards that they say you need to meet. Which could cost you thousands of dollars.

This bill makes the California building standards, now the federal building standards. Yes they will now overide ALL local building standards. Vehicles will have to comply with the new Califonia laws, they will be the new federal standards also.

Fun times ahead!

your religious now? iguess the conservatives really are taking hold!

I have come up with an explanation for why left-wing nuts believe in global warming. It has to do with indoctrination similar to religious indoctrination. Other people are now proposing the same thing.

Religion is actually left wing. It is not embraced by socialists/communists because it competes with them. It is like Christianity vs. Islam. They are both religions, but incompatable. Hitler and Stalin were both left-wing, but became bitter enemies. The right is a safe haven for religions because they are not a threat to conservative principals. Conservativism doesn't push religion, but allows it as a basic freedom. Socialism, on the other hand, pushes its religion, and discourages belief in any other religion. Many socialist beliefs are illogical and require people to defy logic and have faith. Conservatives want people to think, because when they do, they find the truth, which is what conservatism is all about. Logic is maddening to the indoctrinated socialist or religious person. Start talking about free market being preferable to "to each according to his need" to a socialist and you will get the same reaction as you get if you say that "Noah couldn't have collected all of those animals" to a devout Christian.

Left wing ideology is brainwashed into people she same way that religion is. Orthodox Christians feel more comfortable among Conservatives because Conservatives do not persecute them for their beliefs. Their actual religion, though, is right out of left field. The left is threatened if people have religion. They want to be in complete control of people's belief systems. What individual people do is their own choice. I shed no tears for someone who makes a living by murdering people. That is what third trimester fetuses are, people. That is just me, though. Everyone else is entitled to his own opinion. I do not come to this conclusion through any religion. I don't believe in religion. I am just using common sense.

Climate change: The sun and the oceans do not lie

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/comment/columni...do-not-lie.html

The moves now being made by the world's political establishment to lock us into December's Copenhagen treaty to halt global warming are as alarming as anything that has happened in our lifetimes. Last week in Italy, the various branches of our emerging world government, G8 and G20, agreed in principle that the world must by 2050 cut its CO2 emissions in half. Britain and the US are already committed to cutting their use of fossil fuels by more than 80 per cent. Short of an unimaginable technological revolution, this could only be achieved by closing down virtually all our economic activity: no electricity, no transport, no industry. All this is being egged on by a gigantic publicity machine, by the UN, by serried ranks of government-funded scientists, by cheerleaders such as Al Gore, last week comparing the fight against global warming to that against Hitler's Nazis, and by politicians who have no idea what they are setting in train.

What makes this even odder is that the runaway warming predicted by their computer models simply isn't happening. Last week one of the four official sources of temperature measurement, compiled from satellite data by the University of Huntsville, Alabama, showed that temperatures have now fallen to their average level since satellite data began 30 years ago.

Faced with a "consensus" view which looks increasingly implausible, a fast-growing body of reputable scientists from many countries has been coming up with a ''counter-consensus'', which holds that their fellow scientists have been looking in wholly the wrong direction to explain what is happening to the world's climate. The two factors which most plausibly explain what temperatures are actually doing are fluctuations in the radiation of the sun and the related shifting of ocean currents.

Two episodes highlight the establishment's alarm at the growing influence of this ''counter consensus''. In March, the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), which has a key role in President Obama's plans to curb CO2 emissions, asked one of its senior policy analysts, Alan Carlin, to report on the science used to justify its policy. His 90-page paper recommended that the EPA carry out an independent review of the science, because the CO2 theory was looking indefensible, while the "counter consensus'' view – solar radiation and ocean currents – seemed to fit the data much better. Provoking a considerable stir, Carlin's report was stopped dead, on the grounds that it was too late to raise objections to what was now the EPA's official policy.

Meanwhile a remarkable drama has been unfolding in Australia, where the new Labor government has belatedly joined the "consensus'' bandwagon by introducing a bill for an emissions-curbing "cap and trade'' scheme, which would devastate Australia's economy, it being 80 per cent dependent on coal. The bill still has to pass the Senate, which is so precisely divided that the decisive vote next month may be cast by an independent Senator, Stephen Fielding. So crucial is his vote that the climate change minister, Penny Wong, agreed to see him with his four advisers, all leading Australian scientists.

Fielding put to the minister three questions. How, since temperatures have been dropping, can CO2 be blamed for them rising? What, if CO2 was the cause of recent warming, was the cause of temperatures rising higher in the past? Why, since the official computer models have been proved wrong, should we rely on them for future projections?

The written answers produced by the minister's own scientific advisers proved so woolly and full of elementary errors that Fielding's team have now published a 50-page, fully-referenced "Due Diligence'' paper tearing them apart. In light of the inadequacy of the Government's reply, the Senator has announced that he will be voting against the bill.

The wider significance of this episode is that it is the first time a Western government has allowed itself to be drawn into debating the science behind the global warming scare with expert scientists representing the "counter consensus" – and the "consensus" lost hands down.

We still have a long way to go before that Copenhagen treaty is agreed in December, and with China, India and 128 other countries still demanding trillions of dollars as the price of their co-operation, the prospect of anything but a hopelessly fudged agreement looks slim. But even a compromise could inflict devastating damage on our own economic future – all for a theory now shot so full of holes that its supporters are having to suppress free speech to defend it.

I guess we will have to live simply so that others may simply live!

It doesn't have to be that way. We can get rid of big government, and the ensuing prosperity will provide opportunity for everybody. There may still be poor people, but they will be fewer in number, and they will be less poor. The government takes so much out of the economy that it all but kills progress. That is how they cling to power, by keeping the people down. That is how it has always been throughout history. They want a populace which is brainwashed, disarmed, and non-prosperous. If this cap and trade nonsense goes through, it will be a giant step towards a global government. There will be no escape.

We should be tearing down the walls that imprison us instead of building more. I would rather live in a war-torn anarchy than under an iron fisted dictator. I would not want to live in either scenario, but we are a lot closer to the latter right now. Al Gore has said that he wants a World Governance. The term "Global Warming" has a global ring to it. To me, Al Gore is like a villain out of a James Bond movie.

You are really off the deep end now. The only election during this era which was rigged was JFK's "win" over Richard Nixon. JFK's father was a big-time bootlegger during Prohibition. That's why JFK and his brother went after the Italian Mafia. It was gang warfare, and they both ended up like most gangsters do.

The US is looking as Commie as Canada these days. Maybe the Hollywood Commies will decide to stay after all. What is the difference between what we have now and full blown Communism? We still have elections, but the socialist institutions remain in place. We are taxed to the hilt, except for the 50% who pay no tax. That makes them Communists by default. The State supports them. We probably crossed the line already.
