blazerdude20
wasnt part of the new uaw contract that ford could start making the parts in their plants? iirc the taurus dashboard was to be the first use of this. if ford and its suppliers can weather a gm failure then it might not be a bad idea to start shifting parts manufactoring into ford run plants. Ford use to make a majority of their own parts. That is where Visteon came from, the parts plants were put into this group. Most were sold, some still exist and a couple went back under the Ford logo. They will soon find out that this was a bad move to get out of the parts business. They now have very min. control on price/costs.
