DLM
On I 25 in Denver today, I saw today what appeared to be a brand new CVPI with a “shaker” hood scoop. The car looked brand new and had black law enforcement paint of some sort but graphics didn’t seemed to be all applied yet so I don’t know the agency etc. Does anyone have any information on the scoop or associated engines etc? Was this from the factory or aftermarket? Any ideas at all? Thanks
rscalzo
12 years using the CV we never got one with a "shaker" hood. Sounds like aftermarket although moving the intake from the stupid location it currently is in would be a plus.
SHERIFF
There have been aftermarket hood modifications to increase cooling on K-9 cars. The engines have to run for the heat and A/C any time the dog is in the car. I suspect you probably saw one of these modifications.

T'Cal
Had to be aftermarket. Is it possible they used a kit that's available for the Mustang? I'm thinking of the one used on the '02 (?) Mach 1.
