Must be a Lambert fan....the majority of the plant like Lori and respect her for her union involvment. My prediction on the President election Vince, then Lori, Geen, then Lambert. Lori participates in more union activities then 99% of the plant. Wasn't at the union meeting Sunday but heard Mod said he couldn't get anything done with labor...go figure you have to be at the plant to get anything done! To many know-it-all's, that only gets bits and pieces of information and runs with it, twisting and turning it which ever way to stir up crap. Every plant has there shit stirrers in house, but put the facts out there, see who looks out only for them selves and boot them and look to those who have the membership's best interest in mind. Yes this is a Union and until the membership starts acting like it is united the leadership will continue to please individuals to get votes rather than do whats contractually right. Personal attacks and name calling against ANYONE in this forum are human nature, but really just grasping for straws because you have no facts or the brain cells required to form your own opinion and really express what you think. Like many, I've witnessed the dedication "LC" has given to our local 2280. I've witnessed her personal struggles with union issues being discussed while trying to decide what is best for the membership. I AGREE w/ the MAJORITY that she would make the Presidents position finally respectable, with honesty and integrity…UNLIKE the people behind the spineless personal attacks taken from 3rd party 'hearsay', some of them not even Ford employees or retirees, and/or part of our local 2280. 'Consider the sources' comes to mind. Unwarranted personal attacks have no place in politics, on any level, let alone our UAW local 2280, where solidarity in membership should be the norm. If you want to bash one or all of the elected, judge them on their merit, not what you 'heard' from so and so. If you have a beef with one of them as to their dedication and fair representation, confront and ask questions for yourself, then form your OWN opinions, but do it based on fact, not hearsay.

 

I already assume any responses will first try to pick apart words used above like 'dedication', 'unwarranted', 'honesty', 'integrity', 'solidarity', 'merit', etc. Most people already know who fits those words and who doesn't, but have at it. Keep personal attacks out of it and stop the drama.

So I walk into the plant this morning and I'm given a copy of a letter that states it's the Vigilante Press. In this letter it states that I was in favor of the 4 crew for Skilled Trades, that I wear the Millwright hat when making trades calls, and that I run up front to labor and tell on people.

After thinking about it for awhile, I decided that I would point a few things out and let you all make up your own minds as to what to believe.

First, I have to question ANY letter that is put out on the floor with out a name attached to it. I consider the person who put this letter out a coward. If you believe so strongly in what you say, why can't you sign it?

Second, I have to question why the letter did not come out with specifics? could it be so that there was no way to prove it false? I challenge the person who wrote this letter to come out with specifics if what you claim is true. Give names and times! what are you afraid of, people finding out that your lying?

As far as being accused of being biased in regards to calls I have made, I will refer to my earlier post.

The fact of the matter is this; I have always been against 4 crew for BOTH trades and production. I think 4 crew is simply a way for the company to eliminate paying overtime. I don't believe they are getting more production numbers by doing this at all. While it may benefit some peoples life styles, in the end, I question why International even allowed this to be voted on. All Unions who are under this type of agreement have taken a step backwards.

As for the claim that I run to labor and tell on people...... that's the biggest joke I have ever heard. I have never and will never run to labor relations on anybody.

The bottom line is simply this; politics are gonna get played from here on out and to be honest, the letter with all the lies about me was expected. Believe it or not, it's probably gonna get worse before it's all over. I stand behind my service to this Union and I am willing to sleep in the bed that I have made. If anyone has any questions regarding things they may hear, feel free to stop me at anytime and simply ask. I have no fear of telling you the truth and standing behind every action that I have taken.
