The iuaw shouldn't have put us in a position to even consider voting this down. I won't vote for public perception. It wouldn't have taken much more to make this contract solid but they didn't. Just remember that when this contract gets done and they tell us sorry no grievance for you. All the yes voters will be saying " that's okay Ford is fair with us" . I doubt it, they will wish they could change their vote...

The people who actually read this agreement generally don't like it and are voting no... Those who don't read it are favoring yes until they ask why I don't like it. The first thing I tell them is "read it, all of it, even the deleted language which means language that is gone." Then I tell them " then you tell me what you think about it." Some choose not to. for why? Then those that do don't like it...the numbers will tell and if they would have told us what the results of the grievance hearing on Sept. 15th this contract would fail by 99%... At least there's time to go back to the table and rectify a few things , not just we'll pay ya any remaining vacation time Ull have left come June/December...

Dislike my comment all u want, but it sure looked like they all had nothing better to do for 45 minutes except stand there and make sure we did our job... They should be doin what they're supposed to be doing. I'm sure there is a reason they're here and none of them was my boss so their jobs are not to watch me for the duration of my job.... Id have no complaint If its just the line supervisor...... Just like our TENTATIVE agreement states, a FULL UTILIZATION of the workforce, or is it just the hourly workforce. If they're paying all those people to stand there and watch me, then their priorities are all backwards... Most of those positions were filled after they cut the hourly workforce numbers... They have an area manager that nobody wants to deal with ,hourly or management, they give him a title and just allow him to be... No power to even make decisions anymore, they took that from him..

It happened yesterday and I was thinking of my post in this thread . Major breakdown , there was an area manager, superintendent,MPS, 2 line supers all standing there watching. Hands in their pockets saying " how could this have been avoided?" That's what they offered up... So I added it up in my mind... Yep I will assume that's close to a million in salary. With car programs , bonuses, options, matching 401, and salary and not one of them got the line up and running, my partner and I did.... After it was done not one said anything about how a problem was lessened by our hard work and sweat. I dont want an atta boy but zero acknowledgement only reaffirms the way I feel and how I'm goin to vote. The company keeps their salaries secret for a reason , so we don't truly know what they make. Unlike our salaries that are our out for the world to see and be critical of.. I also read and understand there is a $12,000 cap on profit share....

Well said. I'm with ya on that.... I see daily about a million $ in salary stand around and be critical and condescending towards every hourly employee in sight. Then I think , " is that value added??" My answer is no, not really. None of them are doing anything to rectify the problem at hand or move those parts down the line... I only need one of them and that's to pay me and get outta the way.....

The top 1% earn 24% of the income in this country cause idiots like you are so drunk off the koolaid you think it should be that way. Keep being a sheep so that number reaches 50%... Honestly Applebees food sucks and I already quit going there because of that!! This just gives me another reason to exercise my right as a consumer and take my hard earned money elsewhere! Just checking out my built with pride sticker on the windshield yesterday!! 150,000 miles and minus the wear and tear running like the day I got it brand new 10 years ago! I plan on keeping it until my Stang (Who I want to thank my AAI brothers for building and awesome ride) is paid for, then buy a new F-150! The great thing is I see no problem with this truck lasting long beyond my needs and makin somebody else happy after im done with it! I want to say thank you to all my skilled trades brothers and sisters that showed up today for the meeting, you showed complete overwhelming solidarity with the 2 topics at hand!! It seems that we were all on the same page in telling our local and National union where we stand on further concessions! NO!!!! I also want to thank my brother Pipefitter for his well thought out,well timed and articulated motion that got things off to the right start!! That was the proudest I have been to be a union member and skilled tradesmen in quite some time!! Im glad the A.W.S. and Mechanical Teams were voted down but most of all we saw real Solidarity today :happy feet: and that is what was needed for many reasons!! United we Stand, Divided We Fall!!!!!!

Im with you on this fo sho!!! Every post has misspells and improper punctuation! So it is not even relevant for someone who doesnt agree with your opinion to make a post about how illiterate you are and actually never rebut or articulate why they dont care for something you have said! Spelling doesn't count and as long as the point you make is understandable its good with me!

I just want to take a minute to express my extreme displeasure with this company and our Union that continue to bring concessions and trades consolidation to the table while they return their bonuses and hire countless more Advisor's to micro manage, bird-dog, critique and deny every move we make!! I can not in good faith be in favor of relinquishing my trade in favor of fatter bonuses and pushing out lower seniority from their production jobs!! Our efficiencies have improved 10 fold with half the people and its still not good enough! We have already turned down mechanical trades teams in the last 2 rounds of concessions and here it comes again! In my opinion this will result in the cutting of 100 plus tradesmen at the Van Dyke Plant! Add to it the implementing of 4 crew A.W.S. in one area for the Trades who are classified plant wide without any real idea on how this will all integrate with trades outside this 1 dept. who will not be in an A.W.S.!! The real issue is this did not add jobs they cut them thiner to do the same coverage! If thats not good enough, your card is being discounted because they will send some know it all suck ass out there to do your job without hesitation or fear of reprisals! 40 hours of training is all it takes to be a Journeyman at Ford motor company anymore and the 4000 hours that was required the first time around means nothing!!! So next time you need to lift a 50,000 pound flywheel send a Toolmaker and a Machine Repairman or re-plum a 1200p.s.i. hydraulic system send a Millwright and an Electrician!!! Somewhere down the road someone will get hurt or production will suffer for lack of knowledge they may think about it!!! Nah, they could care less, they cut heads and thats all that counts!!! When are we going to quit back pedaling and stop apologizing for the past while the execs pockets are overflowing with money!!! I Vote NO Again!!!! See you Sunday!!!
