Sonettech
I ordered a Ford F-150 5.0L yesterday, obviously no build date yet. Can anyone in the know give some update on build date. I noticed that "Pioneer" stated that some were run on the assembly line the other day. How much time after these test runs do the production models start? Any help would be appreciated. I'll let you know when we start running the '11s full time. Different dates keep flying around when we will do the balance out on the '10. anike7
I just placed an order for a 2011 F150 Lariat 6.2 V8. It had to be a crewcab with the 5.5 bed. I had to get the max tow package which also forced me to get the chrome package. I also opted for the 20 inch chrome wheel option. Other options, Nav Sony system, Sunroof, Lariat plus package, was forced to get the seats with center console cause of the 6.2 motor. I think thats all the options and the MSRP came to $50,105. I get A plan which was a nice discount as well.

Pioneer
Where are the dealers getting the price from? I have not saw anything on the web. Price list has not been released yet. More than likely, the price quoted to him was off the DORA report from Ford.

I don't think that I would want to order one until the price was published for all to see. Are you running all of the new engines but the ecoboost through your preproduction line? Thanks

johndeerefarmer
Super Cab Thanks, you ordered just about what I want except I want the 3.73 rear end, xlt plus package and maybe ecoboost. I am still undecided about whether I want 5.0 or ecoboost. Did your dealer have anything to say about preliminary mpg ratings for the 5.0? akirby
I see the dealer accepted x-plan pricing on it, somewhat surprising. Why? F150s are dime a dozen. Any dealer that won't accept X plan on a F150 - especially one that is ordered - is an idiot.

There is no info on mpg, just a 15 to 20 percent increase across the board per Ford. 3.73 is not available w/5.0L 4x2 Super Cab 145", is does come with different variations. Oh, I didn't notice that. If I want 3.73 with supercab I have to get a 4x4 but if I go with regular cab I can get it with a 4x2.

anike7
I haven't seen the actual cost per option yet cause I still have to go back to dealer and confirm the DORA is correct and sign off on the order. I will see the price per option and post as soon as I get back to the dealer to finalize order.

What do they do with those trucks, do they go out to the public or used for safety test or what?

Yes, if you don't mind listing out the prices for each of your options on the Lariat, that would be helpful. It looks like your 6.2 Lariat MSRP isn't much different than a loaded Raptor Screw (minus the graphics and orange accents). TIA!
