Full utilization according to our union is 40 hours and no one on layoff status. And with the swipe of a pen, change everyone's status!!! Now we have no more overtime!! Just 40 hours and all the contractors are getting 7 ten hour days. Look out other plants when you change to another vehicle. Hope a lot of money is saved this way. We only had 500 million, our local management while get a bonus if 'x' amount is saved for sure. Hiring will be off the street at 14 per hour. And the line is starting to form out front of the admin. building. Don't vote Republican!!! You are whining about no overtime ? You were never guaranteed overtime. Congrats on a new product. You have 40 per week job security. Thank God your job is safe while so many others struggle to feed their families on scraps while looking for work. Havent seen any overtime in over a year and the wage we make should let anyone live comfortably on 40 hours per week. Those damn commies won't let you work 20 hours of OT per week? Bastards !! Agree and calling Republicans communists???? A Communist would guarantee the workers all the overtime they wanted whether or not the market for the products produced was there or not. Ford employs so many hourly employees with a third grade education its sickening...they should be happy they will never have to go find a job in the job market with their pea brains. Our union has been letting FOMOCO slide in a lot of ways but I'd like to see the agreement where the union has given up utilizing trades at the same level as contractors. by the way I have been on 40 hrs for several years by choice. I like having the time off. But I support letting anyone work, especially if the contractors are working more. this goes back to Ford not having experienced people in management to lay out projects at the local level anymore. The contractors have a contract with Ford for x-amount of dollars, they have a schedule that they are expected to meet to fulfill their contract. What the contractors do has nothing to do with Ford trades. Ford trades wouldn't be doing what the contractors are doing anyway. what ford plant are you at ? we do all our tear out and new install in our plant .
