jllewis
Hey all...after a very long wait...my new Focus finally arrived. 2012 Kona Blue Titaium Hatch 18" Wheels MFT Nav Parking Assist Winter Package...LOVE the car. I'm still not a fan of the ordering and waiting process...but the car is nice. MFT is definitely a little buggy but nothing too terrible so far. I attached some pics.
svtenthusiast
Congrats! Almost exact match to mine except sedan vs. hatchback. There is alot to love about these cars and I am loving the gas mileage at about 38MPG, not even broken it yet. Very nice pictures, BTW Edited May 25, 2011 by svtenthusiast
Zoomzoom5
That is a gorgeous car!!!! I'm very happy for you and all who have received theirs! Wow 38 mpg svtenthusiast?!!! That's great. I'd like Ford to put in the Ecoboost 1.6 liter like in Europe. It gets around 52 mpg on the European scale...that would be around 42 on ours. Plus it has 168 HP and 177 lb/ft of torque! That's on regular gas! However, gracefully awaiting the introduction of the ST here next year.
jllewis
Congrats! Almost exact match to mine except sedan vs. hatchback. There is alot to love about these cars and I am loving the gas mileage at about 38MPG, not even broken it yet. Very nice pictures, BTW Hey...thank you! Yeah...I love the car. There's really only one thing that's driving me a little crazy. I have an ipod hooked up to it and it works great...EXCEPT...haha...there is one group of songs on there that I cannot get it to play via sync (play track...) I can get it to play any of them if I ask sync to play a playlist they're in...but it will not play out one of those 6 or 7 songs on cue. It's very weird. So far, I can play anything else on my ipod...just not those. It sees them because when I ask it to play one of those songs...it says "select a line number" and shows me the song...but when I select it...it just sits there...it's strange. Also, there are some times when I can't get sync to engage...I'll hit the voice button but nothing will happen. That's another little glitch. Other than those things...I love the car...feels very solid...and it actually is sharper inside than I even imagined. The sync technology really is amazing...I'm just a perfectionist...so these couple of tiny clitches are having me pulling my hair out haha. Zoomzoom5
Yep, just filled up this morning and verified 38.3 MPG hand calculated with 958 miles on the clock! 90% highway What's average speed? With 'enthusiast' as your m.o. I doubt you go too 'slow'. I had a 2003 ZX3 with a manual, and I averaged 37mpg all highway and 31 city. I loaned it to my sister for awhile and she averaged around 34 on curvy back roads and hilly parts of Missouri. It seems that when your Focus is broken in, you could very well see 40+ . Perhaps we'll see a lot of the Foci getting around that. I wonder how the 5 speed manual mpg's are?....hmmmm. I love to row my own gears. rafox
2 tanks into my Titanium Kona Blue 34.7 & 35.75 mpg!!! Some issues with MTF not liking USB & NAV SD card from time to time. Hopefully they come out with an update for that then all would be PERFECT!

Hopefully they come out with an update for that then all would be PERFECT! Awesome! My mpgs arent real impressive right now...I think it's around 26 but I'm only about half way through my first tank. I'm sure they'll get better. I absolutely love the car. I, like you, have a few issues with MFT but so far...I'm still very glad that I have it. For the most part, it's awesome...just a little buggy yet. Hopefully, as you said, they come out with some updates to fix things.

Fairly hilly and about 6 stop lights on the total trip. Sure I could hit 40 without the lights and flatter highway. Microsoft has grown more reliable, however I still remember what the ousted CEO of GM Rick Wagoneer's reply when Bill Gates commented, "If Microsoft built a car it would weigh 1000 pounds and get 300 mpg's." Wagoneer, "Gee Mr. Gates, however who wants a car that crashes at least twice a day?" I remember when Windows started and all of the trouble it had...especially Windows ME...yuk! I wish you all well! You are truly pioneers! Give Ford the feedback they need to improve the system and keep Ford number one!

I got to the point a decade or so ago with Windows that I switched to an Apple, so this is a big step for me getting a MFT! But compared to many other touch screens in cars, with some exception to extremely high end vehicles (Audi comes to mind with their touch screen interface), Ford still blows the rest of the competition out of the water in that regards. They are an innovator there. And with any newer innovation, there will be bugs and kinks. Even OS's that are as reliable as Apple still have kinks. It's just part of all technology.
