I experience the same on my SEL hatch. Quickly collects dirty water/moisture in light rain or fog. But they give you a rear wiper and I use it regularly on the interval setting and it suits me just fine. No exhaust crud here either.....HTH

Wife's SFE doesn't seem to suffer any with the LRR tires. They grip well on very wet roads at all speeds. Obviously we gotta wait for any winter feeddback..... HTH

The wife and I ordered an SE sedan for her early spring and took delivery May 25th. So far we both really like it. She hated the look of the hatch and wouldn't even consider it..... I really had no preference but the hatch kinda kept growing on me as time went by. We decided for the heck of it to take my '08 Fusion in to get a trade-in appraisal last Wednesday and the dealer made us an offer I couldn't refuse on it...... They only had (1) 2012 Focus in stock, a Kona Blue SEL hatch. Looked it over real good and it had all the options I wanted but one, the winter package. The sales guy threw a couple freebies at me and I told him to get the paper work started. So now we have a Sterling Grey SE sedan and a Kona Blue SEL hatch sitting side by side in the driveway....hehe. I am happy with my new hatch!!

Going on 6 weeks for ours........

Once you get put on the schedule with a build date and that day arrives, it'll be <72 hrs till you're car is complete barring any problems. At least that is what it looks like from members here and on another Focus forum. Getting it shipped is where it's anybody's guess. Some guys have gotten their cars shipped almost immediately, and others like myself have been waiting 'awhile' without an idea when to expect it. My car was built on 4-5-11, released to ship on 4-8-11, and has been taken back by QA twice and re-released. Last update was re-re-released on 4-29-11 for shipment and still sitting in the lot waiting.... Mind you my case is the exception not the rule. First things first you need to get assigned a VIN and check for your Window sticker. That's when the ball starts rolling for ya. HTH.....

I hope they eventually bring it back if it is in fact discontinued..... I may order another Focus later this fall and I'm kinda leaning towards a Kona blue or Oxford white SEL.

Looks like we need some one that has that package to chime in and verify.... You think Ford would have put something like that in the package details when building/choosing options. The Mustang has them as an option.....

The remote start is definitely dealer installed. He must mean the sill plates. Door edge bump guards aren't available that I know of......

Congrats on the new ride, looks great!! Hopefully we'll have ours soon also if they ever decide to ship it.....

Gotta love an orange muscle car!! I've been a sucker for orange since I was a kid..... That orange puts me in the mind of the oranges you saw in the '70's. I have a '76 Corvette in Flame orange and i love it. Those types make a car with nice lines really stand out. I'm not a big fan of the newer hyper metal flake burnt oranges. But that Comp. Orange really makes you take notice.... Thanks for posting!!

Kona to me is a little darker but kinda gives off a couple different colors when the sun/light hits it in different ways. I test drove a 2012 Focus in Kona and it seemed to look like midnite blue metal flake in a shadow, a rich darker blue metal flake in med. light, and kinda a purplish blue metal flake in direct sun. Kinda cool....

Thanks for the support guys!! Yeah half of me wants to keep on waiting and get what we ordered..... The other half wants some straight answers to the delay or go elsewhere. I have to go to the doc's and have my broken wing checked out. Maybe when I get back I'll see about getting in contact with Pioneer or Cyberdman. I spoke to a Ford Cust. Service rep. 3 days ago about our new SE on order... Focus (C346N) VIN Number: 1FAHP3F25CL134651 Order date: 3-16-11 Build date: 4-5-11 QA release for shipping: 4-8-11 ETA1: 4-17-11 (first official date they gave me, didn't show up) ETA2: 4-27-11 (salesman called, taking it off truck) ETA2.5: 4-27-11 (sorry wasn't your car, don't know when its coming) Actual delivery: Who knows.... Called Ford Customer Service 5-2-11and inquired as to status. Gentleman told me he shows it still sitting in lot waiting to ship. He stated he was going to send a request up river to someone hopefully able to get me an answer in the next day or so. Higher up Rep. contacted me on 5-4-11 and told me that it is indeed still sitting in their holding lot waiting to be shipped. She also stated that it was taken back in by QA a few times for reasons unknown to her. She didn't show whether the unknown problems were taken care of and still no ship date. She also couldn't understand why they gave me ship dates and ETAs if there were problems with the car.... She offered to keep this inquiry open, checking it daily, and get back to me when the status changes. Good cust. service so far from them I think. Wife and I were talking about it though and were wondering whether or not we shouldn't cancel this order and move on.....? If the car has this many problems leaving the factory lot on time, maybe it's not a car we want to own..... Its not a tech heavy car that would have been put on hold. If it's problematic now it may be a real nightmare owning it especially after the B2B warranty runs out. I'm thinking I may call her tomorrow and ask her if she can elaborate on the problems or put me in touch with someone who can. If not we may elect to cancel the order and look for something close to that build in our local dealers stock. Was hoping to have a better experience with this car since we got a good slot and timely build date/info but I guess Murphy's law applies now...hehe.
