Scarpi
Thinking of getting an Explorer Sport. I was wondering if you need to use premium unleaded fuel or is the engine designed to run on regular unleaded? With the price of gas I was hoping that the engine was designed to run on regular unleaded gas. Thanks.

Donaldo
Shucks, I was hoping for a diesel. Guess I'll have to go for a JGC instead. :shades:
StevenCaylor
As I recall, to make the rated power for this application (as with the SHO and other car based 3.5EB engines) it was tested with premium. The F150 was rated using regular but recommends premium when towing. All EcoBoost engines will run fine on regular.
