Progress on Orders for Fusion Energi and Hybrid Titanium

Got my deep impact blue HyTi yesterday. The trunk was not quite aligned, I had them work on it. It was better, but not perfect yet. So far I have not had a lot of time to play around with it or MFT yet. So far I put the lane keeping on the highest level, but had not had it engage, even when trying to drift out out of lane intentionally. The brake alert has triggered a couple of times. I have got to spend some time with my nose in the manual. The text messaging and pics from phone book not working with my galaxy S3 yet, but have some leads on fixes I needed to try. I had it on cruise control at 55 and at steady speed but still showed gas engaged. Don't understand that. So far on my left lcd screen I don't think I have seen gas and battery working at same time. But might just of missed it. I thought they could work completely in tandem especially if you hit the gas. There is a lot of awesome things about the car so far, but thought you guys would be interested in criticism more.

LucidLight, I marked you as Delivered :)

But the Ruby Reds have been built all last week and mine still isn't scheduled until the week of the 22nd. So yes the Ruby Red was delayed, but that's not the only factor.

It's all good though I'm sure our cars will be here soon!!

My Ruby Red will be built next week, I hope. I received my window sticker today and I think that means 3-7mdays after order until build. I never received clarification if 4/15 was my scheduled build week or scheduled to day. I will know soon!

Well well well, looks like I may be changing my VIN. Turns out one of the ones my dealer said was already pre-sold therefore they couldn't trade for is actually available from the other dealer. Going to put my name in that order, built in the 9th, ETA May 3rd. And yes it's exactly what I ordered originally it'll just be here a full month before my original.

Now to get my deposit back...

Take the date in the bottom center block on the window sticker (not the print date in the border) and add 7 days. If there are no complications that will be your build date.

I tried to post information weeks ago about the Ruby Red paint situation stating that Ruby Red paint was restricted to retail order scheduling only for a few weeks. Somehow it was misinterpreted as there being a shortage of Ruby Red paint that was PREVENTING retail orders with the paint from being scheduled when the opposite was the case. Ford was doing everything possible to schedule retail orders with Ruby Red paint even though some retail orders may have been pushed back after they were initially scheduled. There was such a tidal wave of comments about Ruby Red paint being the whole scheduling problem that it just wasn't worth it to try to explain the correct scheduling situation again as it actually existed.

I know this was a couple pages ago, but can you explain how it ended up where it seemed like only Ruby Red orders were pushed back? By the correct info it seems like stock orders were put on hold for Ruby Red to make sure all the customer orders were taken care of first, and retail orders were still pushed out.

You have to enable the lane keeping each time you turn on the car by pushing the button on the end of the turn signal. I think you also have to be over 40 MPH.

Thanks! Tried this and it worked.

On another note, I had shopped around for the best interest rates before going into the dealer. The best I could find was 2.18% for 72 months. Much better than the 4.9% special Ford financing was offering for the fusion hybrid. Now I have a 800+ credit score and when I got to the dealer I had the preapproved draft letter from the credit union ready to go. Well I told the salesman, and he still sent the financing guy in to talk to me. I told him about my rate I was getting through the dealer. He asked me if I would be interested in another loan if he could beat my rate. I said go for it. He was gone for 5 or 10 minutes and when he got back, he had secured me a loan from Wells Fargo for 1.89% with no extra finance fees. Needless to say I was very happy. Hopefully this will help others get an awesome rate too.

Here are the pics of my gas Titanium. I really enjoyed following the progress of this thread as it helped me establish realistic timelines. I included a pic of the rear bumber for chuckokie36! GL to everybody still waiting. It's DEFINITELY worth the wait, the car is amazing.

Id love to see a thread on what rates everyone is getting also. I have a credit union that's going to do 2.09 for 60 months, but am hoping they can find me a better rate also. Would love to see 1.5 on 60.

Yay, so now I get to redo my deal luckily I have an X-Plan PIN so not much to it. However I noticed the invoice price has increased from $29,705 in Jan to $30,315. Over this same time period the MSRP dropped $100.

Anyone else notice this? What happens to those deals that were signed under the Jan (Job1) pricing when you go pick up your car does the price change or do you get the original price?

I just saw a quote for 1.89% from Navy Federal Credit Union.

Navy fed is offing 1.49 for up to 36 months right now . With my car still being so far out I haven't been thinking too much about the financing yet, the only good thing about the long delay is I have saved up a lager down payment :)

Hey Guys - random question. Is anyone hard-wiring a Radar detector in their HyTi? I'm wondering how difficult it is, especially since it's a Hybrid. I would love to hard-wire my Valentine One (for safety purposes :spiteful:).

better make sure the BLISS does not interfere with it first. There is a Ford Escape that I pass on the way to work every day and it always sets of my K band Detector.

Joy Joy - I just got a coupon for $750.00 private cash by mail.

Has my dealers name on it, so guess it's only good at my current dealer, and also says it can't be combined with any other "Private or Commercial offers".

What is nice is that it says "Take new retail delivery from dealer stock by XX/XX/XX" Guess there is no expiration :)

A couple questions:
  • Do you have the aluminum pedal covers?

  • Are the moonroof buttons physical or touch buttons?

PefFed offers 1.74% up to 60 months. I got 1.49% for 60 months through my local CU (0.25% rate reduction for direct deposit).

Yes, there's been a few mentions of the price increase. My dealer charged me the new price, I lost the aluminum price (and $100 base price reduction), but the dealer said I'm going to get a refund from Ford (because x-plan prices are locked in at the time of order). It might take up to 90 days to get that and the dealer had no idea how much the refund would be.

I use an Escort radar detector and don't seem to have any issues with ACC. I would love to hard-wire it, but haven't really looked into how to do it ... With my new driving style, I don't need it anymore :( Edited by neod192

I have an aluminum gas pedal, but the brake pedal cover is missing. I did not notice this until after the dealer was closed, going to give them a call tomorrow and let them know of the error.

I did not get the moonroof.

Hmm, that's different! What about the buttons for the dome lights?

They are physical buttons. Now if I could just figure out how to open the rear doors from the inside. I always have to let my passengers out of the rear seats.

Look in your manual for the description of child safety locks.
