hermans Posted July 22, 2013 Share Posted July 22, 2013 (edited) My FFH has the bliss-cross traffic and I do not have the front dimples. The sensors are in the sides behind the rear quarter panels of the car and only sense traffic coming from the sides. My MKZ has parking assist and has the dimples on both sides at the front as well as the sensors in the front bumper. With the Z I also have the cross traffic alert and as with the FFH it is in black boxes in the rear quarter panels. 73mach1 Posted July 22, 2013 Share Posted July 22, 2013 Those sensors are basic sonic sensors such as in the rear of older cars. Its there for the front parking assist and it drives me nuts when I'm in the McDonalds drive thru. They are also used for the active park assist. Cross traffic is radar based behind the rear bumper.
