  1. I'm outside the paint warranty ...
  2. So just glue? The paint is chipping off around the emblem ... so I need to remove it, touch up the paint, and then reapply
  3. Anyone know the best way to remove the rear blue oval on a 2013 Ford Fusion? Is it glued on or bolted? - Nick
  4. In my Fusion the beeping noise plays through the speaker (radio) when the 12V battery is low ... usually it plays a nicer tone through the collision avoidance speaker.
  5. My HID Kit from DDM is still going strong after 3 years .... Used dielectric grease in all the connectors helps alot Only issue I had is a non-matching bulb color, which was swapped out.
  6. Ford will be covering a portion and I will be paying a portion... I have a feeling this won't be the last paint issue I have. Anyone here getting small chips in the paint on your hood (all the way down to the sheet metal)?
  7. So earlier this year I noticed the paint on my car Bubbling on the Left fender, and below both passenger doors. All of which was repaired under the manufacturer warranty. I am now at 40,000 miles (just under 3 years of ownership) and the there is a inch area of paint bubbling on hood where it meets the fender. I did buy the extended warranty, but I don't think that paint is covered.... What are my options? How much will this cost me out of pocket to fix? Any way to convince the dealership to fix it gratis? (since it is obviously a defect / no physical damage).
  8. I there any way to repair / replace the screen if there are light scratches on the screen?
  9. The snow tires are amazing compared to the stock tires ... not only am I getting better overall gas mileage, but the traction they provide is outstanding!!!!
  10. Yeap, letters will be going out this month
  11. My 17" Tires = 215/55/17 My 18" Tires = 235/45/18 Looks like the old tires are wider .... 8.5% wider to be exact 5MPG is alot tho ...
  12. My stock rims are 18", but winter rims are 17"; but the diameter of the tire is exactly the same. The odometer should not be affected
  13. Everything I have ever heard about snow tires is they lower MPG.... They are Bridgestone Blizzak You think snow tires could actually increase my MPG by almost 13%?
  14. I recently had the PCM Update (letter set to be sent out this month) and put snow tires on my 2013 ford fusion Hybrid. I frequently take the same 2.5 hour trip to my home town. I have taken the trip probably 50 times in the last 29,000 miles In similar weather conditions with my stock 18" tires (prior to the update) I would get around 40 MPG Last night I took the drive for the first time since the update/ snow tires were put on and I ended up at 45 MPG ..... I am utterly confused FIELD SERVICE ACTION NUMBER: 14E02
  15. I ordered 215/55/17 Winter tires (Bridgestone Blizzak) for my 13' Fusion Hybrid (stock 18" wheels). They seem to work great but no snow yet. The are exactly the same diameter as the stock 18" wheels. I actually seem to be getting better MPG also ... which is odd
  16. Your Headlights should be powered directly from your battery ... so the voltage should be relatively constant. Automatic settings should have nothing to do with it ....
  17. Your turn signal should have no bearing on your HIDS .... I have had DDM kits in my Low Beams and Fogs for almost 2 year... No replacement parts yet. I did have some bulb flickering; I added di-electric grease to the sockets and now I am 100%. I think moisture was getting into my connections.
  18. It took my fusion Hybrid 4000 miles to learn where my house was ....
  19. The Goodyear 18" that came on my Fusion Hybrid sucked in the Northern Michigan Winter, but Northern Michigan Winters are pretty terrible..... I made it through two winters so far with the stock tires... After getting stuck numerous times last winter I paid $1200.00 for snow tires this year ... I pretty much had traction control turned off for the entire winter last year ... traction control on = not going anywhere If you are driving on flat plowed road you should be fine ... last year I got stuck twice going up steep plowed hills ....
  20. I qualified under all the conditions; Number of days in the shop and number of repair attempts... and they were notified they had a "final" repair attempt by my lawyer....
  21. I had the Headliner recall done on my car; They replaced the headliner 5 time ... and still didn't get it right ... The aftermarket headliners are terrible and they are very hard to install... My car was in the shop for 1.5 months for this issue. I ended up filling a lemon law claim against Ford, which was settled outside of court http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums/index.php?/topic/54453-lemon-law-process-started/
  22. The blue wire (paired with a grey) on the lower left side of the harness is the + for the parking lamps
  23. I understand that; but a number of members on this board with schedule 1 cars had inexplicable bad mileage.... I know of atleast two that traded in their schedule 1 cars and are now getting much better mileage. If I could afford to trade in my car for a newer one I would ...
