robertlane
Who is your favorite WWII General? I'd have to say that Manstein is one of mine. I had family on both the German and U.S. side of the war, however, I couldn't say that any U.S. general is in my top ten because the U.S. entered the war in the closing months after it was already lost. Imawhosure
1. Patton--------------> He seen what was coming and nobody listened. He was also the best mechanized general the USA had. 2. Rommel-----------> Best general in the war hands down, was not a true Nazi, and was removed because of it. Give me reincarnations of these 2 generals, give them 150 tanks per with a free hand, and watch ISIS disappear within a month! Bottomline---------->we may yet today have generals just as capable as these in our armed forces. Sadly, we no longer have the politicians across the globe who are willing to use the talents they possess. We no longer fight wars in Washington along with many other capitals across the globe, we manage them for public consumption.
