    Ford B-Max's Ingenious Door Design

New Ford B-MAX Ingenious Door Design and SYNC Deliver a Connected Compact Car with Unrivalled Access Ford Easy Access Door System combines hinged front doors and sliding rear doors to create a 1.5-metre unobstructed opening for unrivalled access and versatility B-MAX introduces Ford’s voice-activated, in-car connectivity system, SYNC, to Europe. SYNC features award-winning Emergency Assistance feature Ford B-Max Forum – The all-new Ford B-MAX offers customers a smarter and more versatile compact car, with a breakthrough door concept which provides unrivalled access and some of the most advanced small car technologies. Smart technologies offered by the B-MAX include SYNC, Ford’s voice-activated, in-car connectivity system with award-winning Emergency Assistance, plus a host of premium comfort features. “The B-MAX is packed full of ingenious features, from its unique door concept to the powerful SYNC voice control system,” said Ford’s global small car vehicle line director Nick Collins. “Customers can look forward to a smarter and more capable compact car.” Ground-breaking vehicle concept The B-MAX presents Ford’s vision for a premium compact multi-activity vehicle, combining outstanding space and versatility within a smart and stylish exterior. The Ford Easy Access Door System was developed following an innovation project in which engineers “went undercover” to observe drivers in their daily routine – going shopping or picking up their children from school – to understand exactly what customers wanted in a compact car. The solution they came up with combines conventional, hinged front doors and rear sliding doors, in a new body design. This integrates the traditional central pillar structure into the front and rear doors, rather than forming part of the bodyshell itself, and creates a huge, clear opening -- more than 1.5 metres wide. This is around twice the width offered by competitors with alternative door concepts and makes it significantly easier to enter or exit the rear seats, attend to children in child seats, or load and unload shopping. B-MAX’s twin sliding rear doors also make access easier in crowded streets or narrow parking bays. The front and rear doors can be opened completely independently, so the front or rear cabin can be accessed as required. Ford SYNC technology with Emergency Assistance The new B-MAX is the first European Ford to offer the company’s acclaimed SYNC system. SYNC is an advanced voice control, device integration and connectivity interface. It enables users to connect mobile phones and music players by Bluetooth or USB, make hands-free telephone calls, and control music and other functions using voice commands. It can automatically transfer contact information from a connected Bluetooth device to the vehicle, allows calls to contacts to be activated using straight-forward voice commands and reads text messages aloud from compatible phones connected using Bluetooth. SYNC also enables B-MAX to offer the innovative new Emergency Assistance feature which is designed to assist the occupants to call the local emergency services operator in the event of an accident. Emergency Assistance won the “Best Mobile Innovation for Automotive, Transport or Utilities” category at the 2012 Global Mobile Awards, Barcelona. Flexible and easy-to-use interior A flexible and easy-to-use seating system features 60/40 split rear seats which can be folded flat with a simple ‘one-hand, one-motion’ mechanism. The front passenger seat can also be folded, creating an extensive flat load floor capable of swallowing loads up to 2.34 metres long. The generous access makes it particularly convenient to load bulky items such as flat-pack furniture or even a bicycle through the side doors. An adjustable load floor in the boot creates a flat load space when the rear seats are lowered, with extra room underneath for valuable items. With an overall vehicle height which is 12cm higher than the Fiesta, B-MAX offers drivers the benefits of a higher “command” seating position, and provides significantly improved rear seat legroom and headroom. Premium technologies in a compact package The B-MAX features a host of premium technologies demanded by buyers looking to “right-size” their new car – around 40 per cent of B-MAX customers are expected to choose B-MAX after previously owning a larger vehicle while 20 per cent are expected to have previously owned a smaller car. Comfort and convenience features include an exclusive eight-speaker Sony audio system, all-new electronic automatic climate control system, Key Free system, Ford Power Button, Rear View Camera, Quickclear heated windscreen and Easy Fuel system.

Just as a note, Ford does NOT manufacture vehicles based on their VIN numbers sequentially. Thus VIN 8700 could be made before VIN 0013.

Mach E First Edition Sold Out !

Mach E First Edition Sold Out ! MachENation. com - When Ford introduced the Mach E in Los Angeles on 18 November, they rolled a "First Edition" model, which would offer an exclusive Grabber Blue exterior paint option as well as other appointments. Ford specified that the First Edition would only be available in limited quantities and urged anyone interested in a Mach E First Edition to reserve one right away. While the First Edition was available in other colors than Grabber Blue, most reservation holders that registered their Mach E chose Grabber Blue while Rapid Red following close behind. You can registered your Mach E Here | Check out Mach E Registration Stats Here. Ford recently updated their Mach E Build and Price website with one model missing - the First Edition. According the Ford's website the Mach E First Edition is already sold out! Now, the only way that someone will be able to purchase a Mach E First Edition is if a reservation holder cancels their order. You can still reserve a Mach E Select, Premium, California or GT model. 8. Ford Trademarks Mach E and "E" Logo After unveiling the Mustang Mach E on 18 November in Los Angeles, Ford filed a trademark at U.S. Patent and Trademark office on 19 November for the Mach E's official logo. It's the same exact logo, which appeared on the Mach E when introduced at the L.A. Auto Show . The logo itself is somewhat of a subtle throwback on the one used on the 1970 Mustang Mach 1. What's more interesting, however is that Ford also filed a separate trademark for the "E" logo, which appears at the end of the "Mach" script by itself as a stand alone. This seems to suggest that Ford is dropping the current-generation "Energi" logo that appeared on the C-MAX and on the current generation Ford Fusion Energi. LEFT: Ford's new "E" mark for electric vehicles. RIGHT: Ford's current "Energi" plug-in logo.
  9. This is from the MachENation.com This is the first release of the Ford Mustang Mach E Registry. It includes registry data through 22 November 2019 entered by reservation holders. If you wish to add your Mach E to the registry, please click here. contents COPYRIGHT © 2019 MachENation.com

    2000 F150 Made in Wixom, MI ?

Ford sent it back as being made in Wixom, but I think they made a mistake because I've never heard or seen one made there.

Developed with the DNA of a Baja race truck, F-150 Raptor is unique among off-road and performance vehicles, with a purpose-built engine, chassis and suspension that enables it to travel fast over challenging desert landscapes or crawl over rocky terrain. F-150 Raptor SuperCrew with four full-size doors provides rear passengers with more legroom and comfort on the trails and more space to stow gear while exploring the American and Canadian wilderness. SuperCrew’s 145-inch wheelbase is 12 inches longer than the standard Raptor SuperCab 133-inch wheelbase. “F-150 Raptor means superior off-road capability, from rock crawling to sand running,” said Dave Pericak, Ford Performance global director. “With the addition of SuperCrew, F-150 Raptor customers can leave the pavement behind – without sacrificing comfort and space.” Advanced materials – including high-strength steel and high-strength, military grade, aluminum alloy – help save up to 500 pounds versus the prior Raptor for improved off-road prowess. Combined with all-new EcoBoost engine technology, the next-generation F-150 Raptor’s power-to-weight ratio has been improved, making the truck even more agile off-road. Toughest F-150 Raptor ever The all-new F-150 Raptor starts with a purpose-built fully boxed frame – the backbone of the truck – that is the strongest in the F-150 lineup, featuring more high-strength steel than the outgoing Raptor. F-150 Raptor’s chiseled looks are reminiscent of Trophy Trucks – the fastest and most powerful class of off-road pickups. F-150 Raptor is 6 inches wider than standard F-150 for enhanced stability off-road. The all-new F-150 Raptor also boasts its first-ever dual exhaust and new 17-inch wheels with next-generation BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO2 tires designed for off-road performance. Smartest F-150 Raptor ever F-150 Raptor is powered by Ford’s new, second-generation high-output 3.5-liter EcoBoost® engine that produces more power with greater efficiency than the current 6.2-liter V8, which is rated at 411 horsepower and 434 lb.-ft. of torque. The high-output 3.5-liter EcoBoost is a Raptor-exclusive in the F-150 lineup paired with an all-new 10-speed transmission for improved efficiency. An all-new four-wheel-drive, torque-on-demand transfer case, with advanced, easy-to-use off-road mode driver-assist technology, further improves Raptor’s performance so it is easy to drive off-road across varying terrain. F-150 Raptor’s new transfer case, which manages power distribution between the front and rear wheels, combines the best attributes of clutch-driven, on-demand all-wheel drive with durable, mechanical-locking four-wheel drive to send power to the wheels in slippery conditions. F-150 Raptor’s pioneering off-road driving mode technology has evolved into an all-new Terrain Management System™ that enables the driver to select modes to optimize driving dynamics to environmental conditions – from snow to mud, sand and more. Six preset modes help the truck power through different terrain and driving conditions: Normal mode for everyday driving Street mode for higher-performance, on-road driving Weather mode for rain, snow or ice Mud and sand mode for muddy and sandy trails and terrain Baja mode for high-speed desert running and Rock mode for low-speed rock crawling Most capable F-150 Raptor ever An available Torsen front differential increases off-road capability further. The system increases grip significantly for the front end of the truck and allows it to pull itself over obstacles and up steep grades – even when traction is split between the front tires. F-150 Raptor comes standard with new FOX Racing Shox with custom internal bypass technology that works to damp and stiffen suspension travel over rough terrain, helping prevent the truck from bottoming out. Front and rear shock canisters have grown from 2.5 inches to 3 inches in diameter for improved performance. They feature more suspension travel than the current Raptor’s 11.2 inches at the front and 12 inches at the rear. All-new F-150 Raptor will be built at Dearborn Truck Plant and goes on sale in the U.S. and Canada this fall. F-150 foundation Ford F-150 – the same hard-working light-duty truck available from XL work truck to Limited, the most luxurious F-150 ever – is the foundation of every F-150 Raptor. F-150 is part of Ford F-Series, America’s favorite truck for 39 straight years and America’s favorite vehicle for 34 straight years.
