neddot
Has anyone experienced a large amount of rust and blistering on their 2009-2014 painted bumpers? I keep my truck clean and waxed regularly, but my front bumper is pretty much destroyed. I realize that I live in a Northern climate that see a lot of snow with tons of sand and salt being used on the road but I have never had an issue like this on my past two f150s. Just looking to see if anyone else has suffered this issue.
twintornados
And....what did the dealer say?
neddot
They say it's not a manufacture defect. It starts out as a small little rock, but then starts to blister and I now have some spots the size of a Toonie (sorry Canadian).

It should be covered under the rust perforation warranty. If not, sand blast it and paint is black.
neddot
I just read all the warranty info, I'm going back today armed with some information. Last time a talked with a new service rep, I'll make sure I talk to someone else today. I'll post how it made out and try and post a picture of the bumper. I love my truck but it turns my stomach every time I look at it. Edited April 14, 2016 by neddot

akirby
You can also try a different dealer. How the dealer describes it to Ford makes a big difference. If they even went to Ford.
