Dave Carver
HI all, I'm new to the forum. Hope you all can help me out. I have a 2016 Lariat Crew Cab 4X4. For the past several months I've been noticing a rattling noise emanating from my engine. It reminds me of the noise that a gasoline engine makes from the old days when the quality of of the gas was poor. There i a noise is intermittent and i cannot replicate it on demand. I have gotten a recording of it on my Iphone which I'm going to try to upload. I'm also noticing that while the rattling noise is happening the truck is shuddering as well. Hoping you all can help me out.

Dave Carver
Yes Kirby, the sound is definitely emanating from the engine. The shuddering is being felt in the steering wheel and vibration feels like i'm traveling over a very rough road. But the road is well paved. Very strange. Frankly, i'm taken aback that others have not experienced similar symptoms.
akirby
The question was what engine do you have? 3.3, 2.7T, 3.5T or 5.0. You’ll probably find lots more info at f150forum.com (but you’ll have to specify your engine).
Ramrod79
Akirby , he must have the 6.7 diesel or the 6.2 gas as he has a 2016 f250.
